Official Divorce, Day 1

I met with a lawyer for the first time today.  He says it'll be a pretty open and shut divorce, but it's still going to take 6 to 9 months.  I feel like I'm going to wear out my welcome staying here that long.  I've already been here for 3 weeks

I'm sorry she's being so fucking awful to you. After seeing how much rage she is willing to hurl at total strangers who have done practically nothing, it's not surprising to me that she would lose all sense of proportion and go to the nuclear option at a time like this.

And of course her pitchfork wielding friends are not helping. Not helping the situation but also not helping her, since they're just creating a horribly distorted feedback loop.

I'm sorry you have to go through all this. But, selfishly, I'm glad to have my friend back.
