Devestated, knew this day had to come, just did not think it would be now.

Sir Alex is all I've known, hard to think of a United that doesn't include him, can only be thankful we got to witness this, it will never happen again.

The era of 92/93 is all going to be gone in a couple of years and that is a horrible horrible thought . . . also makes me feel very old.

Hoping he will come out at the legends match and do something, just got tickets today, in the hope!

Just cannot picture anyone else as manager at United, just seems wrong. Moyes is a great shout, but he doesn't have the European experience, Mourinhio has the experience and would win things, but can't see him being long term or offering the same sort of stability and practices of UTD, but who knows.

I kept getting texts about this today and I just couldn't believe it. I knew every season could be his last, but it's hard to accept. I'm really happy he brought us so much success. Whoever replaces him is going to have a tough job.
