My husband was 20 when we met, 21 when we got married, and 22 today. I'm 27. We both still live like teenagers in some respects, but we love each other very much and love our life.
It's not marriage that ends your life..
... it's -children- ;)
When you are single, the only responsibility you have is to yourself.
When you're married, the only responsibilities you have are to each other, but if you love each other, this kind of life really isn't a chore, and is still a life lived for yourself, as well as your spouse of course.
When you have children.. suddenly your life can't be about yourself, and it's not about your spouse.. it's about this third-party you now have to care for over the next 18 years.
Children end your life.
No thanks for me, no children for us!
We buy nice things with our money and go where we want, when we want. If we had kids?
I agree with the first commenter, children ruin EVERYTHING! I'm not married, but I live a married life with my boyfriend of 4 years. We share everything, a house, finances, a car, our lifes. I don't feel like it's game-over at all, More like, game-on (:

Personally, I never want to get married or have children. I'm a rather selfish person, I suppose.
It's probably better for both of you that you didn't tell her her life would suck now (;
Nice to meet you!

Children and marriage don't end your life, they enrich it, that's my opinion anyway, and we all have those don't we?
