It was only his first semester of his second year at Painswick University, but Miles was already planning the rest of his education. He spent time nearly every day looking through the list of courses the school had to offer and filled in credits for each of his future semesters. Audrik was startled by the knocking at his door. He wasn't doing anything inappropriate with Tracey, at the moment, anyway. Still, he felt guilty as he rose to answer the knock.

There was a very slight, but noticeable look of surprise that came across his face when he recognized who was standing on the opposite side of the door.

"Can I help you?" Audrik asked, furrowing his brow slightly. He certainly knew exactly who this young man was, yet couldn't let on that fact. He stood, leaving the door open enough as though not to appear to be hiding anything, yet shut over enough that he wouldn't make it obvious who was inside.

Tracey shot a thought at Audrik- It's too late, he knows... believe me.

She stepped from behind him, having caught the change in mood immediately, and she knew the breathing on the other side of the door. Was that creep and weird?

Yeah, a little.

"Thank you, Professor, for teaching me that- I might just be able to keep the moon up longer this time," Tracey said. She smiled warmly at him before opening the door to leave.

"Hey, Miles," Tracey said, offering the same smile to him as she stepped around him. "I didn't know you'd take this- it's a good class, I think you'll like it."

She nudged past him and left them alone... kind of.

What she really did was lean against the wall just a short way away and pull out an extendable ear in preparation for the door to be closed.

Miles only glanced at Tracey, most of his focus was kept on the professor. The man was hard to read, not just because Miles did not know any distinctive expressions from him, but also because the man, afterall, was trained in Occlumency. Miles wasn't a Legiliment, but his watching skills were only a step away from mind reading. He could at least tell that the man understood at least part of Miles' connection to Tracey.

"I didn't realize you were currently giving a private lesson," he commented, still standing on the outside of the office.

"Is there something I can help you with?" he repeated, staring at him blankly.

He used great effort to mask his dislike for this boy he had never actually met. In order for their secret to stay safe, he must remain objective.
