Ugh. I was hoping that wouldn't happen to you guys! The closing is notorious for being postponed and rescheduled at least a couple times before it actually happens to completion. The closing on the first house we bought was postponed like 3 or 4 times over a matter of 3 weeks, but that was b/c we were young and stupid and using a retarded mortgage broker that couldn't get things right. On each occasion we got to the closing table and something was wrong. Hopefully mr lawyer gets back, you all sit down, and everything is in order!

We'll be out of town that weekend or I'd offer to help. I could maybe help some in the evenings though if you want to move as much as possible carloads at a time?

My closing got moved up an hour, but since the seller's hadn't closed yet, I couldn't get the keys until the next day.

But that was all after spending 3 months trying to get a different mortgage broker than I wound up using to call be back about a pre-approval when the guy I wound up going through did it in 3 hours.

Yeah, we just used lending tree and got a great reputable broker when we bought this house and everything was easy and smooth as can be, no delays, and we were able to check their rating and all to know they knew what they're doing. (Lesson learned from first experience - gah.)

The sellers still lived in the house though so we had to wait a few days after closing for them to move and have carpets cleaned and stuff before we got the keys, but at least our closing was on time and fun. :-P

except I was waiting on my husband and his dad to finish hardwood floors

everything is always a big mess when we move..and in a couple months I have to move to Oklahoma...w/ TWINS nonetheless!

YUCK!

The baby has definitely slowed things down a bit for us. She is unhappy about the no crawling around and pulling boxes over too!

I'll be in town then and pretty much not doing anything that Saturday cause Paul's going to his parent's and mine won't be in town yet. And I have a half day Friday, I think.

I wish I was closer because I'd definately help if nothing more then to get to know you all a little better. I always enjoy your posts and it would be a hoot!

Biggest hugs and sorry to hear about all the mess. Once it's finished you will have tons of time to relax again.
