I am the very worst at updating this thing even though I constantly think about how I miss Livejournal, and Livejournal being the primary hub of my internet social life. There are a number of reasons why this is so, but I want to put it all behind me. This is a summer of (positive!) transitions, and I want to get back on the horse! The horse that ( Read more... )

Sort of. I'm 95% done and none of it requires real drawing. Just technical stuff. I'll post about when I've got a cover or release date or something. :)

That is such a great picture of Betty! she is so sad and classy and pretty! well, that's how the whole show is. More people need to see this show.
(I added you a while back and a sudden update with Madmen fanart is like the best thing ever. Hi.)

Hello!

'The horse that is "sharing".'

I just pictured a horse offering french fries to the other horses.

Thanks for the tip about Mad Men. I've been looking for shows with good wardrobing, so I'll give that a rent. (I never bothered to upgrade my TV to hi-def, so I'm making lists of stuff to rent for the foreseeable future.)

It's pure wardrobe porn. You can draw fanart too. ;)

I love Betty too! Definitely one of the most fascinating characters. But the real intrigue of Mad Men (I think) is how much time the narration actually gives to her and other women. It's not just a show about men working, as it could easily be.

Rich and I kind of stopped early on in season 2, and never really had the interest to keep going. Which is kind of bizarre, since season 1 was some of my favorite TV ever.

I agree! I thought it was going to be a show purely about men working too. Like the Sopranos, but with more suits in an office.

I'm a couple episodes into Season 2. I think it helps the season is complete and I can watch them all at once while I'm newly hooked. I have a hard time staying interested in serials when I have to catch them week to week (*cough* Battlestar Galactica).

These are great. Especially Betty's expression.

You're making it hard for me to resist watching Mad Men. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET SUCKED INTO IT, dammit! sigh...

But one of the best things about the show is it's a 13 episode season! Put it on the queue for next time you're sick. :)
