            The colors that Hershey chose for its Reese’s pieces has always baffled me but today while lounging around in my pajamas and dividing my attention between Lewis dot structures for iodine and the candies in question I may have figured it out.  Brown is the color of dirt and trees...brown is the earth.  Yellow is like the sun and the sky
