I've noticed that too - what does it do? Seems to go away if I close it down using the x in the corner?

The free sms stuff itself may well be harmless....but did you also get a message appearing about a trojan horse dialer 6.0 being in your temporary internet files?

I am currently investigating what it is, and how to get rid of it, with lloobee

Have installed a free version of Norton Internet Security and the nasty messages no longer appear when I retook the snoopy test :-) you can get it too, from www.symantec.com - go for 15 days free trial.

Zone alarm is also free and as long as you dont pick all the extras it free perminalty.

I can also recomend Nod 32 as virus protection, smaller in size than Norton and the rest but bloody good - (downloads any needed updates when you logon). Yuo can get a free months trial but thanks to a flaw in their software it doesn't time stamp anything when you download it. So burn it to a disk and when the mont trial runs out just reinstall it.

hey I'm at my parents house. They have norton AV but no firewall. I know if I install zone alarm they wont understand it, you know when it asks should we allow so and so program to connect to the internet. (I don't really understand it myself even :-))Is there something that practically does zone alarm's job, but is technophobe-friendly?
