Another day, another dance party.   A tribute to German Goldenshteyn.  It was nice to see the whole klezmer community coming together to help his family.  The musicians came from as far as Montreal, Austin and not-so-near Connecticut.   Phila was well represented too.   Like a mini-reunion of KlezKanada crowd.  Zev Feldman led the dancing.  The ( Read more... )

Yeah, if only the occasion were different... How often I have repeated this phrase over recent months...
And yeah, the klezcommunity is not complete there physically. My soul is with you, my friends.

Do you know Romashka (Inna B.'s band?) They also sing Klezmer music.
I don't know her too well, but she's friends with my wife.
Just thought you might know her since you're into that stuff :)

It's a very small world, indeed. Comes to think of it, I've also met Romashka's clarinet player and the mandolin player. And I've never see Romashka perform ;-)

No, it's not corny. AK is truly incredible. I finally got a chance to talk to him at KlezKanada, I don't think we have ever formally introduced ourselves before that, believe it or not.

Too bad I didn't see you contemplating the slow hora. I'd pull you in the dancing circle.
