Shipping meme part 1
I'm in a shipping mood, so I decided to do the "30-day" Shipping Meme. 'cept my answers aren't long enough to justify one post a day; that, and I doubt I'd remember to post one per day lol. So instead I'll just divide it up into three posts.
Day 1: What is your current favorite ship?
Mwu x Murrue [Gundam SEED], still my OTP. They have been since 2005-2006 (whenever I first watched SEED, it's around there). I admit that around late-2009ish they went to more of the background while I watched more recent stuff etc (even though they're still my OTP). But recently (like Dec 2013) I sort of got back to SEED, because I watched it again on the HD Remaster lol,
Day 2: What was your very first ship?
Sango x Miroku [Inuyasha]. Inuyasha was the first anime I really got into, and Sango x Miroku was probably my first ship. Sango and Miroku are my favourite characters of Inuyasha, even though their gag of "him groping her then her slapping him" got a bit old (like most Inuyasha gags, really). I still like them I think.
Day 3: A pairing that needs to happen now.
Reiji x Aila [Gundam Build Fighters]. I think they'd make a cute couple, seems that Aila has a crush on Reiji already. Though I'm not sure what would happen when Reiji finds out she's in the tournament, whether this hinted-at pairing will turn sour lol.
Chihaya x Taichi [Chihayafuru], even though Chihaya doesn't realize Taichi's feelings, and seems to have feelings for Arata, I hope Chihaya realizes that Taichi is the one who's been with her all along. I don't dislike Arata, but Taichi......
Ginko x Tanyu [Mushishi] also needs to happen. Ginko often comes by to tell Tanyu Mushi stories, and she seems to enjoy his stories (and his visits) the most out of all the Mushishi who visit her, and he seems fond of her.
Day 4: The pairing with the most chemistry.
Mwu x Murrue probably. Did you see how they flirt? lol They were friends turned lovers, and their relationship is based on trust and understanding. They complete each other and help each other grow and develop as characters.
Day 5: The pairing with the least chemistry.
I'm assuming this implies "of the pairings that I support", because I generally don't like pairings without a lot of chemistry. Hmm... this is hard, I guess the closest would be Athrun x Lacus [Gundam SEED]. They're obviously close friends, and perhaps loved each other at one point. But Athrun probably has more chemistry with Cagalli, and Lacus... well, I'll admit she has good chemistry with Kira, but their relationship is pretty bland by Destiny (lacks sexual tension). I still like Athrun x Lacus for the whole "puppy love" / "my first love" aspect of it.
Day 6: The best kiss.

Day 7: The most heartbreaking scene.
Scene at the end of ep 49 of Gundam SEED. No matter how many times I see it, or what Destiny did, it still breaks my heart every time. The fact that he was laughing quietly as he said his line, the fact that he didn't even get to finish his sentence, and the fact that she just broke down afterwards before returning fire with rage in her eyes; it's one of my favourite scenes, despite being so heartbreaking. Although when I rewatched ep 48 of the scene where Murrue went to see Mwu off, I felt really sad too, knowing what would happen...
Day 8: The pairing with the most baggage.
Of the ones that I like.... probably Inuyasha x Kikyou [Inuyasha]. I don't even know why I like this pairing, but I do remember liking it at one point; I prefer it to Inuyasha x Kagome at least. She died believing he betrayed her, and he was sealed believing she betrayed him. And then she was "revived" and made them both so very confused. I think their resolution was satisfactory though, bittersweet, but satisfactory.
Day 9: The most believable relationship.
Mwu x Murrue (lol I wonder how many times they will come up). They came together so naturally, without any fuss or melodrama. It was a gradual development from comrades to friends to lovers. This is the reason they're still my OTP (that, and I really love the characters individually too)
Day 10: Why aren’t these two married?
I'm assuming "these two" refers to the answer of the previous question. Well, the answer depends. If you go by the original SEED ending, he died T__T. If you go by the Destiny ending, er, they probably will be? It just didn't show it. I'm guessing if there is ever a SEED movie set after Destiny (which I kinda hope not, but will still watch it if there is, out of curiosity if nothing else), they probably will be.
