HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIOKA DAIKI!!
“Aah…, why does it have to rain?” he pouted while his eyes were wandering to the sky.
It’s the beginning of summer festival, but these two days were always raining. We actually have scheduled our summer vacation day per day, and because this bad weather, we ended up staying at home. It’s okay for me to just stay at home together like this. But he doesn’t feel so, my Penguin.
“Could you not stay at the open window like that? It rains outside, you’ll catch a cold,” he literary stay at the open window. Our windows are that big and have an enough space to sit when the window was opened. Our place is just an apartment though, with one bedroom, a kitchen, and a big living room for all the friends who comes visit.
“Ring, ring!” the phone rang. I was about going to hang it up but he rushed before me and just answered the call.
“Moshi, moshi!” he talked. “Ah! I know it’s you Chinen! What? Come over?” he stared at me. I was just closing the window so the wild wind wouldn’t get in to the room. “Just ask everybody to come join!” he’s still staring at me. I slurped the hot milk I made to warm up by body. “Un! And said to Yama-chan too, that he has to come with the groceries, so we can cook here.” he smiled. “Jya, mata na!” he put down the phone.
“Was it Chinen?” I turned on the TV. Looking for the good program to watch.
“Un! He said it was boring at home, he wants to meet with us, make a little party to kill his boring time because of rain.”
“With all of them?” I mean, the member?
“Of Course! Chii was made sure that Yama-chan will cook us something. We only have to move the sofas so we can have more space for all of us.” He said it happily, and began to relocate the sofas.
Well…, I didn’t regret it that Dai-chan place was always being everyone’s place. It was like the base camp for all of us. And now, even though we have lived together, and this new apartment is not only Dai-chan’s, but still it became everyone’s place. I don’t say that I’m not happy to have them visit us, or make little party here. But this rainy day, I just want to be just the two of us. Hug him…, share the warmth of our body to kill the cold from the rain.
“Eh?! Nani?” He asked as I hugged him from the back, circled my arms around his waist.
“I just want to be like this for a moment.” He stroked the back of my hands. “I want to hug you like this before they come…,” I inhaled every scent of his.
“What a silly….” Even though he said that, I know he like it.

“Eh?! Why nabe?” Chinen protested.
“I’m the cook here, so don’t complain!!!” Yamada exclaimed.
“But I’m the costumer!” Chinen then going closer to Yamada who’s busy with chopping the vegetables.
“Oh, yeah? Do you pay me to cook?” Yamada now faces him a bit angry.
“What? Another quarrel?” I walked closer to Yuto and Ryu who sat at a kitchen bar, chuckling before the quarrel.
“Yeah…, as always.” Yuto just smiled looking his boyfriend’s childish side.
“Un…, and he’s kind a cute when he’s on the mood to be mad to someone, right?” Ryu said.
“Nah…, so you like him when he’s mad at you, Ryu?” Yuto teased Ryu. And it made his face shockingly red.
“I didn’t say that! What I mean is…,” well…, I’ll just leave them two with their ways of admiring their boyfriends. Come to think of it…, where the hell was Dai-chan? I didn’t see him after this room was full by them.
“Keito, where’s Dai-chan?” Keito was playing the Nitendo. It became his habit when he drops by at our home.
“Wakanai! Perhaps with Hikaru-kun.” He answered me without making any eye contact.
“Hi, all!” Yabu just got in to the room. “Sorry we’re late….” Followed by Inoo behind him.
“Did you guys see Dai-chan out side?” I asked them in a little worry.
“I think he’s with Hikaru, nee Inoo?” they acted weird. But then I rushed looking for Dai-chan.
It’s rain. Where could he go? And with Hikaru too…. I kind a not like it when Dai-chan is only with Hikaru. I don’t know why. Is it because they were childhood friend before? I just felt it’s dangerous if he is with that fanged boy. Or…, am I jealous out of nothing?
“Takaki! Where will you go?” Hikaru pooped up before me on the stairs. “Are they complete yet?”
“Where’s Dai-chan?” I asked him directly.
“As soon as the rain has stop, he just left somewhere he didn’t tell me…,” did he just with Dai-chan a while ago? “I was just get out from my car in the middle of the rain, then I saw Dai-chan waiting for the rain to stop in front of the main gate. Because it was raining and it seems it would be quite long until it stops, I accompanied him and we talked things.”
And now he went out side? Why didn’t he tell me so? And where could he go?
“I like to run to the rainbow after the rain. I rally want to see the end of it, and touching it,” was what he said before. It was his habit when he was child. What? Will he run to the end of the rainbow? How old does he think he is now?
I ride my bike, leaving Hikaru with his questioned face. Am I too protective? Or am I just too in love with him? What I know now is that I don’t like if I am not with him. I don’t like if I don’t know where he is. I don’t like if he leaves me behind without any word like this. ‘Cause it feel like the end of the day for me.

“Tadaima…,” I walked in home with no strength. I am too exhausted, looking for Dai-chan without any result.
“Ah! Here he is!” Hikaru exclaimed.
“Where did you go, Takaki?” this voice…, it really is familiar.
“Ne…, Dai-chan! Don’t be so clueless like that….” Dai-chan is home?!
“Huh? What do you mean Yabu?” well…, he is clueless, na?
“He was looking for you, you know!” Inoo added. “His face was like this and full of worry as if Daiki wouldn’t be home anymore! Ahahah…,” and Hikaru teased me. That’s what you like, huh?
“EH?! Looking for me?”
“Hm. And I somehow remember what you said before about you always run to the end of the rainbow, so…,” damn! I was so embarrassing telling how dumb I am.
“Why didn’t you call me first, and ask me where was I?”
DOOONG!!!!
“That’s right! You’re not living in ice age without any cell phone, aren’t you?” even Yuto made fun of me. If they’re like this, I’ll just left them be then. My heart’s thumps still not at a normal state yet.
It was already afternoon. And the dishes are all ready. We ate together. Chit chatted about all things. And then Dai-chan came with some white cloth.
“Let’s make Teru Bouzu!” he put the cloth and began to cut them. Everybody agreed with him and tried to making it for themselves. Teru Bouzu is a hand made small doll that look like a bald monk. It’s made to bring good weather. Well…, I used to make it when I was child, so we can go to the amusement park the day after the rain.
“It’s done!” Daiki finished the Teru Bouzu first, and ready to hang it above the window.
“I’ll help you.” I offered.
“Arigatou!” well, this is the cute side of him. He usually didn’t take any help if it is about his heights. “With this…, I hope tomorrow won’t rain.”
“But you can’t hang on the reality to this kind of doll.” Even weather forecast has a time when the weather isn’t correct as they said before.
“Then, even if it would rain tomorrow, it will be okay as long as I am with you.” Did he just say he want to be with me all the time? Well, it sounds so, right?
“Hm! Without any of them.” I pulled the curtain, covering our body so that they couldn’t notice. Well, if they did notice it, it’s not a problem though.
I landed my lips on his. Set aside his bangs that’s on my way to see his beautiful round eyes. It wasn’t enough for only one kiss though, because he has made me worry all these half day. And he knew that. The second was a bit wild. He pushed me to the frame of the window, and rained me with so much uncountable pleasure kisses.
I love him so much…
