You have to remember that ALL corporations will be affected. This includes very small corporations and non-profits, i.e. businesses who are essentially innocuous. If corporations have some of their rights removed, what happens? Well, the companies with the most assets (i.e. the big corporations you hate) are going to destroy the smaller corporations via legal methods suddenly available to them.

Radical change generally causes unforeseen consequences.

Not all small businesses are corporations, and non-profits enjoy certain protections that I think would not harm them were they not considered a person.

Moreover, corporate personhood is not a just or rational concept, and if there are unforeseen consequences to abolishing it, then I'll take that over the status quo.
