I really agree with you on mostly everything, especially your thoughts on Arthur because I agree totally and this is what I've been trying to tell people who are mad at Arthur and hate him.
This series is really about the darkest before the dawn. Arthur has just been crowned King and I think people though, okay now he will be the Great King Arthur of the legends and this hasn't happened and people are disappointed or they feel that what they have done to Arthur isn't really character development.
I think that really this series is about the struggles each character has and hopefully they will get through it in the end!
You know from day one I liked Arthur, with his flaws. Personally I always found the legends boring. I never bothered to read it except for a book mostly about the knights I had to for a class. This show has opened up the legends to me and this whole new take on Arthur, Merlin, Gwen etc. I owe that to this show and I am fine with who Arthur is. I don't always agree with his ways, but that's not why I like a character. I usually like the ones who cause conflict

You're welcome! Pretty much I agree with what you have said and its mostly how I feel. There is a lot of negativity around which I can understand but it just brings me down and made me say things that I'm not proud of and I've offended a friend today and I'm quite sad about it.
Really I think everything in my real life and fandom has gotten to me and I've just exploded. I just hope that I can change and that this friend can forgive me.
Ah, I'm sure if they're a good friend it'll be okay. I hope that for you anyway.
A week or two ago something was posted that I took strong offense to. I think it was just one of those days or things about the show were bothering me that I got angry about it. But I didn't post anything and I'm so glad I didn't because honestly I had nothing constructive to say.
So that might help. It always works for me. If you feel that strong urge to say something that could be seen as offensive, try to hold back, give it a day, and see if you still feel that way then. Usually it's cooled down by a day or two.
I haven't been hanging around LJ or tumblr that much to know or see others reaction. I have been enjoying S4 so far. I think it was appropriate not to show A/G reunion in ep 11. They have two more eps to cover this and continue the suspense:)
Ah, I miss you! But honestly I'm not around that much either. I just keep reading speculations on LJ. I have no idea what's going on with tumblr because I don't have it, but I guess it's more negative there possibly.
Anyway, I so look forward to what's to come. The suspense is great, and there's time to bring them back together, I agree.
