PSA to mothers of little girls

For the sake of what is left of your sanity after having to listen to "Let it Go" twenty times in a row, do not under any circumstance buy your little girl a doll with curly hair.
If you do you may end up spending an afternoon doing what I did.

This is what the Drama Queen's Doll looked like two years ago when she got it, she was three.

This is what "Alex" looked like yesterday.

I got some tips from the American Girl Doll store on how to try and fix the hair and clean the skin. I washed the hair (being very careful not to get water on or in the eyes because some of the parts are metal) with baby shampoo (the most gentle and will help restore any brittleness from age), then took her outside with a spray bottle, metal toothed brush, and all the patients I could muster.  Two hours later after carefully brushing out the tangles then putting it in curlers she was set to let her hair dry.

This was the final result.  Meh, not really all the curly, I have another thing to try, but first I'll check with Drama Queen to see if this is good enough.
