I wrote this for the Jack/Daniel ficathon, in response to raedbard's request: "Some use of Latin (which doesn't have to be in any way correct!), first time. Restrictions: character bashing, PWP." I hope this fic fits the bill. *frets*

Oh, excellent. I like the way you started with the vision. That was a wonderful way to work in alternate universes.

I also have a thing for ascended-Jack stories. He really wouldn't take too kindly to the restrictions, would he?

I can't seem to write a J/D story without going into AU territory. On the other hand, Ascended!Jack really is fun. *g*

this has such wonderful tone, and daniel's perspective feels vital and poignant. wonderful that he is uncertain in trusting his instinct.

and i agree, ascended jack would be *very* interesting. and ultimately unable to avoid pushing the boundaries, just as daniel was.

i love jack's ability to carry stillness in the face of daniel's thought process. *g*

Oh, I'm glad Daniel's perspective worked for you--as you know, I have the hardest time trying to write from his POV. So I'm so glad he came across okay!

eeeeeeeeeeee Jack reads the Ancient!!! *cough* Sorry, I got a little excited there at the end. *g* This is a lovely story. That Jack would dream of things that never were, and those things involve being with Daniel, wherever he is, just kills me.

Although Daniel's going to deck him for fantasizing about sharing Sha're. *g*

I'm so glad you liked that! I mean, he spent such a long time learning the damn language in WoO, enough to get the device working again--he'd have to be somewhat proficient at it. I'm so glad you agree! *g*

Jack dreaming about Daniel is a fic-kink of mine--although I never even thought about what Daniel would do upon finding out about the Sha're fantasy. Bwhahahha!
