Job - different now

So I was in F. to see my new school, spoke with the headmaster (she was very nice). Then I was sent to the school administration in the same city. There I learnt that they tried to find another teacher for the job in F. I would get a job in R. instead at the same conditions. But it was not sure yesterday.

Today I got the commitment for the job in R. And - as always - it has its pros and cons. On the good side - R. is much nearer to my hometown than F. - it's only twenty miles commute instead of sixty. On the bad side... I phoned with the headmaster and he was not half as nice as the other. :( He was a bit provocative and threatened me with an examination on a special topic when we will have our interview on Friday.

The problem - he can't deny me and I can't deny the school (I must be glad I've got a job at least). I would prefer the schools could look themselves for their teachers, but it's all regulated by the central school administration. I know a headmaster of a school here in my hometown - she would take me instantly and without a question - and the school is within walking distance. *sigh* Why must everything be so complicated?
