This probably makes more sense if you've already seen the previous Keynes/Hayek Rap Battle. Go check it out, I'll wait.

Now, please enjoy the lyrical stylings of Billy Scafuri and Adam Lustick, featuring Richard J. Murphy:

I've read a lot of Hayek, and a couple of years ago I struggled through Keynes's General Theory; I recognized every line in the first video as alluding to something the two of them actually wrote. But what I thought was cleverest about that video was the way the storyline clearly reflected their different theories, with Keynes drinking to excess and Hayek coming in to take the bottle away when Keynes was miserable and wanted just one more drink. I wonder if Paul Krugman has seen it?

I've got to say, by the way, that the title of Keynes's General Theory is one of the most brilliant pieces of self-advertising I've ever seen. To anyone in the era when it was first published, it would have inevitably evoked Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, and thus suggested that just as it was an advance on the Special Theory, so Keynes's economics was an advance on the "special theory" of the "classical" economists.
