damn it - damn it - damn it - i got called to jury duty starting jan. 4. i have already asked for excusal one time before so i dont think they will grant me another excuse. damn it - damn it - damn it - i dont want to do this.

yeah, it's the same here - you have to report the first day and call in on the rest - still sucks though :P

If you have a connection to anyone involved in the case, you're automatically excused usually. I can't imagine you'd have to deal with a case when you knew someone involved.
