Hercules and Others Rave About Joss Whedon's SERENITY Now!!You know, I kinda like Joss Whedon. Sure there were times I was so angry with him, I swore that I would never watch anything he's involved (And I still don't forgive him for running off in the middle of Buffy Season 6). As to Herc, I personally would never let someone else's opinion about a movie/movie franchise sway me, especially not someone who I don't know and have no reason to value their opinion. Though I can definitely relate to the resentment some fans can create for a piece/storyline/creator, I try to avoid this trap, because I find it so frustrating when people say they hate Spike (or whoever) because they dislike the fans.

Last night I was in a pissy mood and overreacted, I think. You're right, I really shouldn't let Hercules or anybody's opinion to color my opinions. It's not that what he thinks about Prequels bothers me that much, he's entitled to his opinion after all. It's the comparison what makes me mad. These days every single fantasy/sci-fi movie is getting compared to Prequels. Almost every review is like "I went to see x movie, and it blew me away, unlike these sucky Prequels." Dude, I don't care if you like them or not, but why do you need to insult them while you reviewing another movie?
You're right about Joss' comments on Nathan Fillion. After I finished my little rant and posted it, I remembered the same thing. I actually think Nathan is a decent actor and a nice looking man. But, job stress + not enough sleep + translation work = a snappy and pissy marajade :)
