I just opened the front door to step out on the porch for a cig and I see a possum on the sidewalk about 1 foot from the porch. It turned and looked at me and then waddled off into the yard. Yikes!

Do those things bite?

No and they like to hang around smokers too so it's a pretty common sight-- especially apparently in Denton and Austin I've had that happen multiple times.
