Alright. Here's the first story in my prompt challenge. I fear it's rather plot-less,but oh well...
Let me know what you think!

Tomorrow's Prompt-#29- Switch

He had two choices. He could tell her, or he couldn't. He could do the right thing, or the wrong one. Trouble was, he couldn't decide which choice was right and which was wrong. What ever option caused her the least pain was the right choice. But what would hurt less knowing, or remaining oblivious to this whole situation. Well, he supposed, if she never finds out, there will be nothing to cause her pain. So his decision was made. He wouldn't tell her. Then again, if at some later point in time she did find out and find out that he didn't tell her in the first place, her pain would be even greater. Fine then, he'll tell her. No. Both options were terrible. There's not one good road to take.

This was a very important decision. This was a fork in the road of life and he had no idea which road to go down. Each one seemed to lead to disaster, pain, and unhappiness for all involved. It was no good;no decision could be made when he was in this state. No clear thoughts would come to his mind when he was holed up in his utterly disgusting flat. He hadn't been out in days, he payed no attention to daily ablutions. He ran a hand over his face and considered a shave. If he wasn't going to make a decision, he might as well do something useful. He summoned the energy to get up from the chair he'd been occupying for hours and made his best attempt to clean the rooms.

When he was through, it may not have been clean to his mother's standards, but it was better than what he'd been living in for the past few days. He needed to get out. He called up his mates and asked if they'd meet him at the bar down the street. They agreed and he proceeded to ready himself to go out.

An hour or so later he and his friends were sitting around a table at the bar getting utterly sloshed and talking about his particular predicament. Reason may say that such an important decision should not be made under the influence of alcohol, but drunkenness would say that the decision may not be as important as once was thought.

His friends gave their advice, saying that he was over exaggerating and telling her would not be that bad. She may even respect him for telling the truth. Other opinions said he should never tell her and never speak to the girl again. He found this option the most appealing. She caused him to much pain and annoyance. If she was just gone from his life, there would be no problem. His mates pointed out that his original idea of there being only two choices, two roads, was wrong. Nothing was stopping him from paving his own road. Alright then, he thought, a decision has been made. He planned on calling her the next morning and telling her it was over and he never wanted to hear from her again. It may seem harsh, but being cruel was easier than having to be truthful.
