If you're cold, that'd be a reason that one might have some mood issues. Or perhaps it's that something very basic to your life is not there... which would also be disturbing.

Heat. Anyone who has such a basic thing taken from them may find that it upsets them in very deep-seated ways. I'm not sure that's what you're dealing with, but it could be.
