This was engrossing from beginning to end and the fantastic art made the perfect complement to it. The whole Halloween idea - and the costumes themselves were really brilliant. Bellatrix and the drowned Ophelia followed about by house elves? Snape as Zorro (that still makes me laugh)? Adorable pirate!Regulus and, of course, funny, cheerful Sirius as the Dark Lord. It was really all too perfect.

You captured the Marauders’ personalities perfectly, too. Those little moments where we got to see their private thoughts and personalities really shone. I especially like your Peter, by the way. He really seems worthy of being a Marauder and that bit where he thinks about being a rat (and enjoys sneaking about) was really inspired. I loved Remus as well - especially at the end - for he, too seemed very in character. The fact that he loved his friends above everything (and that that made him eligible for the eventual Order) was darling and made perfect sense.

I'm SO glad you enjoyed this piece so much! To be honest, I started this long ago for the Harry Potter queenathon and it just never got finished. Or even close to being finished. It's probably a good thing too because it ended up being a lot longer than I'd originally expected.

I especially like your Peter, by the way. He really seems worthy of being a Marauder and that bit where he thinks about being a rat (and enjoys sneaking about) was really inspired.
I'm glad you liked him! He's never really given a decent amount of attention, and very often the villain. But I like to think that he wasn't always such a bad guy.

And I'm so laughing at the James quote. Isn't that just the attitude you'd imagine for him? Suave, pushy, and manipulative lol.

Aww, I'm so happy you liked my take on Regulus! He's so adorable, and it's fun to look at different ways that he might be portrayed since he's never really described much in canon - especially in his younger years. I hadn't even known about the regulus_fest to be honest with you. I definitely like writing him with ( ... )

Oh, I'm so glad you liked Regulus in this! I'm really happy to see that folks like him so much. To be honest I was a little worried I'd made too many liberties with him in this. ;-) And yeah, he's always looking up to his big brother. I think especially when you find out what he did in Deathly Hollows, it really feels like he was trying to be brave like his big bro. ^_^

lucius in tights may actually be the best thing ever.
You know what? I'm going to have to completely agree with you on this one. Why isn't Lucius wearing tights more often?? :D

This was so fun to read. I love that Sirius went as Voldemort, though he should know he's only making evil look sexy! ;) Both gryffs and slyths were fun to follow. I loved Regulus always hanging back from any fray. He made me laugh.

The art was awesome, too. Sirius was perfecto, and the Slytherins looked, dare I say, adorable.

Oh man, this made me snort when I read it! Now you have to wonder if perhaps that was his intent all along? x) You mentioned that Regulus was always hanging back from the fray, and I suddenly thought of Shaggy lol. All he'd need now is a big dog and... oh god, Sirius as Scooby Doo! xD
