[Video] -- A Cuppa

[James has had better days. Ever since arrival at Somarium, it's been the quintessential 'one thing after the other' problem-- and with his son currently a little bit off his rocker, his best friend galavanting about in dangerous territory, and a real lack of familiar things to distract him; Quidditch, adventures, teasing Moony, trying to get Evans ( Read more... )

[The old man certainly does perk up at the mention of tea.

Remus grins his usual grin to James. Despite all of the recent drama and such, the teenager rarely ever seems to be outwardly fazed for the most part, no matter what is brewing under that calm surface.]

I happened to discover the most palatable cup of tea at a lovely little shop in the Shopping District off of Broadway and twenty-fifth street, right on the corner. The Good Day Cafe, I believe it was called.

Spoken like a true little old lady, Moony. I knew I could count on you!

[He earns a grin in return.]

[He rolls his eyes at that, but, of course, his grin doesn't falter in the slightest.]

Of course I'd be happy to spend a quiet day conversing with you over a nice cup of tea. Forgive me for assuming, but I thought you would be more interested in staring into the eyes of someone just a little prettier than me for the afternoon.

I think a lot prettier than you is the accurate way of putting it, not to tear you down any, Remus. But I've gotten that someone a rather nice lot of flowers and was thinking some tea to go with it. I've got to try it first though, mate. Can't totally trust the discerning pallet of a man who would be happy eating steak and chocolate for every meal.

Cafe de Reves has some good made to order tea. I've done a lot of scoping around to pick out the best teas around Somarium, so it all depends on what kind you're looking for.

Are you looking for a white, black, or green tea?

[He's English, so there's really only one kind that can fit the bill!]

Black. Definitely black, then.

Nice to meet you, by the by! I'm James.

I'm Takuma Ichijou! It's nice to meet you as well.

Let's see...black tea then...

Are you looking for a specific kind of black tea? Earl Grey, English breakfast, Assam, Darjeeling?

[He tilts his head a bit.]

If you don't mind me saying, you look very familiar.

English Breakfast would be fantastic, if it's available. Earl Grey has too much bergamot for me, mate. It's the taste that keeps on giving, long after the tea's been had.

[And he's gotten that one before!]

Think you mean, Harry looks very familiar. I had his face first, I reckon, as his father and all that.

I'm not sure about a tea shop, but I'm sure the cafe has some? If you want, I could make you some, too?

Would you? Hey, that's well kind of you!

All right, then. You make the tea, I'll grab us snacks. Best way to make new friends.

I'm James, by the way.

It's no problem. Tea is best done with company, after all.

[She smiled to him.]

It's nice to meet you, James. I'm Belgium.
