CHARACTER MEME MADNESS Prt 2

Relationships
Do they have any close friends?
- Yes and no..? The only friends she has are 'close 'really... They were listed above. Shou Jonouchi, Hatsu Shiroku, Reynard (grudgingly), The Coyote, Mamala-kun (It's more strained with Mamala herself), and the twins Mali and Lika.

HOWEVER... She had another friend before she ran away- 'Kimi Mutou'. It was the same event that drove her to run that caused Kimi's 'death', and it's that event that made it so that a determined Jonouchi-descendant would have to force Yume to make friends again as opposed to leaving her be.
If so, what are they like?
- FFFFFF... Shou's very 'Mokuba-like', if not also considerably 'Yugi-like' in regard to his general unease about things and his gaming love.

Hatsu is Hatsu, AKA Otogi... Aside from the fact that he literally has no sex drive at all, he's much the same as he was in the manga.

Reynard is the Cheshire Cat in Fox form, and anyone who recognizes him as 'Jonouchi Katsuya' (-coughHatsucough-) will get their mind screwed completely.

The Coyote on the other hand, is actually somewhat 'Thief-King-ish' in personality, and has issues with proud authority figures. So he uses his rather trickster mentality to screw with them, stealing things and then putting them back in the most embarrassing manner possible. Down to it however, he's still got Honda's memories and body, and is actually quite a loyal, if not brutally protective person... As seen with his care for the twins.

Mamala-kun is quiet, frail, and easily unnerved, but extreeeeeemely kind, and very dangerous once ticked off. His shadow, Mamala, is in contrast tall, strong, confident, and very seductive, though that last one is more likely a ruse.

The twins are both about 9 years old- and they act like it. They're cheery, like playing all the time, and are probably the most stubborn little girls you'll ever meet. Strangely enough, their former self was much calmer...

Kimi was somewhat similar to Mamala, though a little less of a nervous wreck. She was quiet and soft-spoken, but that was largely because of how polite she was- Kimi was largely bedridden for her life, so her frailty was more illness related. As it is, she was quite optimistic about things, and scarcely if ever, seen without a smile.
What is the history of their relationship(s) with them?
- Shou was one of her clients; she repaired his soul, he sought her out and never really left, regardless of any skeletons found in the closet. Hatsu actually met a later incarnation of Yume supposedly... 100 years ago. He initially targeted her out of vengeance, tracking her down and battling her before getting his ass kicked and realizing that the vengeance thing was kinda stupid since it wasn't the Yume he'd met in the past.

Reynard was actually hiding out in Shou's 'dream', the patch of the shadow realm connected to his soul. He found Yume, saved her from some THING, and proceeded to hitchhike using the gap she'd formed between herself and her shadow. Pain as he is, he's proven himself a good (if not horribly annoying) friend. Coyote on the other hand was a thief, plain and simple. However, events would arise that pulled in a soul-eating Mamala, blamed Coyote for them, led to Hatsu finding out the REAL culprit before getting his ass kicked (again)...

In the end, Coyote would ask Yume to help, and after some convincing she would take down Mamala... Who, after Mamala-kun regained control of the body, would seek her out so that Mamala-kun would have someone to talk to.

The twins as well were clients; they were formerly one person though, who was actually due to take classes with Yume in college. Needless to say, when she found out who they were, she wasn't too pleased with their father...

As for Kimi, Yume had been running (and hiding) from the school's 'authorities' again for skipping class, spotted an open window, and hid inside. And then realized someone was in it.
Do they currently have a best friend whom they would protect with their reputation or their life?
- Shou. SHOUSHOUSHOUSHOUSHOU-

KIMIIIIIII.
If so, who are they and what caused them to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for them to end this relationship?
- I named them up the- Alright. Shou does it by being a) a former client, b) a kid with a heart of gold, and c) being... Shou. He's determined as heck to not leave Yume, seeing nothing but the good in her and completely forgiving the bad- Yume herself, as someone who can't do that with her own actions, can't fathom WHY he would do this... And therefore sees him as much greater than her. To end the relationship between them would mean... Killing one or the other, or Shou mysteriously becoming a complete monster overnight! (And even then, Yume would quite likely push to get the old one back.)

Kimi on the otherhand was Yume's first and 'only' friend, as most kids her age were actually being good and staying in class and the like. She and Kimi would often have conversations outside the latter's window, and they grew quite close... When Kimi 'died', it completely devastated Yume, particularly with how it happened. If Kimi were to come back, the relationship would most assuredly have to come about from her end, as Yume would be absolutely adamant about keeping it from coming apart.
Do they have any bitter enemies?
- Not really actually- despite her adamantly insisted 'ignorance' toward the 'power of friendship' so to speak, she seems to have a weird habit of befriending the major enemies she's defeated thus far...
Have they defeated them before?
- ...Yes? AND THEN THEY WERE FRIENDS?? what.
How might these enemies seek to discomfit them in the future?
- Read that as 'how might these new friends of hers make themselves pests?' Reynard ironically is the largest pest of all and he's not even been a villain ever. Hatsu comes 'closest', ironically because he keeps breaking into the apartment to make sure Reynard isn't making a pain out of himself, except he keeps forgetting that Reynard has an excuse for being there while he himself obviously doesn't.
What valuable or important contacts do they have?
- Hnnn... Strangely enough, outside the occasional interrogated monster within the dream, Shou qualifies with his laptop-of-amazing.
How did they come to know them?
- See the above?
Which person(s) or group(s) are they most loyal to?
- Pretty much anyone on her good side really... In an argument between people though, she'll typically side with the morally correct one in her opinion, unless it's her friend's lives at stake. (In other words, no one. :I )
List any past serious relationships that they have had, and give a brief overview of the relationship(s).
- Nooooonnnnneeeeee. And quite frankly, it'll be a long time before she comes across as anything but asexual.
How do they think others generally perceive them?
- She honestly doesn't think of it- particularly since a lot of people tell her things, and then she winds up telling herself 'that can't be right'... Or even 'well clearly I've got YOU fooled.'
If someone crossed their path, what would they do?
- Stop, let them by, continue on without a word. It's perfectly normal to her, and the fact is, it isn't like they were being outright hostile. (She'd react if that were the case.)
Who is their most trusted ally?
- In regard to trust, it's a rather varied tie... The first place prize goes to Hatsu and Shou however- Shou because... Well, it's Shou, and Hatsu for the simple fact that he's probably had his ass handed to him for her sake more times than anyone can count. It WOULD have been Reynard, but she's fairly certain that it's a matter of self-preservation for the for.
Who do they trust, in general?
- In general, her friends and family. Whether or not that means she wants you to know what she would trust you with is another story- she prefers to deal with things on her own, believing most of those issues to be 'trivial' to anyone else..
Who do they despise and why?
- She... She doesn't really despise anyone unless they did something incredibly senseless against her or someone she knows... Like, there's the twins' father for example, since he's the one who cut them in two...
Name several things they hate in others.
- Stupidity, immaturity, disloyalty, ignorance. And ironically enough, self-hate and matyrdom, the hypocrite...
Is their image consistent?
- Slowly changing for the better- thanks to friends, she's beginning to open up and act more like she would have before Black Rain. Which is VERY DIFFERENT.
Do different people see them in similar ways?
- Depends- some that she's met recently don't really notice, but most people, even if she's only ever been in the same room with them more than once in the past year, can see the slow change.
Do they deliberately present themselves differently in different situations, and how?
- She very very very much aims for an image of complete confidence during 'shadow battles', mostly because it's quite literally a life or death situation. But...

As her teachers will vouch, she changes considerably once the topic turns to a passion of hers- typically this is because she completely looses focus on anything that caused her to close up. Essentially, she starts gushing about whatever potion of mythology and history the topic touched up on- showing many 'jou-isms' that she had as a kid actually...
What would they die for?
- Shou for sure. Not to mention the twins.
Who would they go to extremes for?
- Mooooost of her friends qualify... Probably wouldn't do it for the Mamala half of Mamala-kun, not to mention Coyote and Reynard. They're starting to creep in there, but she sees them as... REALLY capable. (That's right- Hatsu got in there because she kicked his ass. He's on the list out of pity. Poor Hatsu...)
Who do they turn to when they're in trouble?
- Nobody, and the others HATE it.
What is the worst thing someone has done to them?
- Outside of herself, the worst thing is years and years of comparisons and expectation overloads... It was a single, traumatizing event that made her who she is now for the most part though.
What is their general reaction to an attractive member of the opposite sex who lets them know they are available?
- If its subtle, she's likely to miss it. Once it gets more obvious she'll either pass it off as a joke and shut them down, or become absolutely stunned and shocked... And drawing a complete blank on how to react. The expression tends to get the message across though.
How do they get along with others in the same field and/or work environment?
- She typically works alone- as it is, she sticks to complete professionalism in front of others concerning her job. At school, she typically keeps to herself. She might speak with the instructors about things between classes (largely because her classes embody that large interest in myth and history she has), but that's about it. Comes across more as either shy or quiet rather than impersonal though.
How can they be blackmailed, beaten, and tricked (by PCs or NPCs)?
- It's.... Really hard to blackmail her, but typically snatching away the kids (Shou, the twins) will work. Alternatively, it used to be that mentioning Black Rain and then connecting her to it would give the opportunity to kill her off with the excuse of preventing another, but that doesn't really happen now.
Have they lost any loves?
- No. Friends yes, but no.
How did they handle the situation (short & long term)?
- When Kimi died, she went from someone who acted like a young Jonouchi to someone who completely repressed herself, hated herself, and blamed herself for anything. It has been eight years since the event.
Who would miss them should they go missing?
- She's already gone missing! Her parents want her back, KaibaCorp actually funded a search at one point (ala Shinji), and she did speak with Mokuba enough that her great-grandfather has concerns as well. If she went missing AGAIN, Shou and the twins would feel it most, followed by Hatsu, with the others slowly creeping in.

And who the hell knows what Kira's thinking...
Who might protect them?
- FRIEEEEEENDSHIIIIIIIP~ Though Mamala is debatable, and Kira's got her own ways...
Who might be convinced to sell them out?
- Strangely enough no one close enough to her- she's effectively become a gathering point of things that will stick around FOREVER once you find what makes them tick. Probably helps that she thinks so little of herself though.
How close are they to their friends?
- She doesn't like calling most of them friends, but the fact is, having a crowd of people pester you pretty much once a day minimum or at least be in the position that she'll actually ask them to accompany her for something is the closest anyone's gotten in years.
What do they know about them?
- Yume's 'friends' know very little about her history outside 'Black Rain', an effective slaughterhouse event that Yume survived. (The name was never publicly given, but the shadow's identity was.) They also know she is a complete nerd when it comes to ancient civilizations and myths.
What do they not know about them?
- Currently, the only one aware of her being a Kaiba is Hatsu, Coyote, and Reynard. All three could argue that they know family resemblance when they see it, but the latter actually has access to Yume's mind... Shou knows that Souryuu isn't her real name, but that's about it. As it is, no one she knows has realized that the reason Black Rain had such profound effect is because her only friend was there with her at the time.
Do they live with anyone (housemates, roommates, relatives, friends, near-strangers, family friend, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, lover)?
- Reynard acts as her 'shadow' at the moment, but that's not really choice... Also, Hatsu lives in the tree outside her apartment complex. No really.
Are they a member of any special interest groups?
- No.
What is their level of involvement?
- N/A~~
What is their current status with local law-enforcement?
- Law-enforcement in the form of Officers have occasionally worked along side her- she's also dealt with the actual authorities in Kira's place for a few cases. As it is, she's lucky she wasn't caught being a moron with the 'sealed unbound', as she would have been dealt with ala-soul-separation if she had.
Do they have a record of cooperation or non-cooperation with authorities?
- Cooperation on the thefts Coyote caused, and the murders Mamala started. Note how she was able to keep them from being pinned to it- she's credited for helping, but the case is largely considered unsolved.
Do they have a file with local, national or international law enforcement?
- Under her real name, there's a file that was kept for the sake of her being a 'witness' to Black Rain... But she isn't listed as the cause.

Personality/Beliefs
Do they, or did they, have any role models?
- Before she got slammed in the face with the repercussions of living in a dead man's shadow, she actually fantasized about meeting Seto Kaiba and just sort of talking or something. Given that she was about 5 at this time, 'talk' essentially came out to 'it would be really cool. If he played house with me.'

Oh but fun fact! She mentioned that to Mokuba during a visit around the same age it came to her mind, and he laughed his ass off.
Do they have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend?
- See above? That's as close as anyone ever got, she doesn't have any and didn't from like... 6 or 7 years old and on.
If so, have they ever met them?
- Nope. Not yet at least- with the DR, anything is possible~
Did they ever become disillusioned with former heroes or idols? If so, why and what were the circumstances?
- Yes and no. She's never actually MET Kaiba, though if she were to meet one around 'canon age' she would likely have a rare fit of annoyance and possible rage given the attitude of the one she spent a large portion of her life being compared to. As it is, she got sick of living in his shadow pretty damn fast.
Do they have any dreams or ambitions?
- At the moment, she wants to get to the bottom of the 'slaughter of black rain'... Which is actually a separate event from Black Rain itself- basically, all the victims involved were, about four years after the fact, killed and brutally mutilated save one- Kimi. Yume's currently more focused on finishing her bachelors though- exams and all that.

OHHHH but that's in her world- in the DR there's not much to aspire for, so really she's just trying to figure things out.
If not, why?
- DR? Otherwise n/a~
What are their short term goals (what would they like to be doing within a year)?
- OH- Well there you go, her bachelors goes here! Even shorter is figuring out 'Duel Monsters', though that's DR only.
What are their long term goals (what would they like to be doing twenty years from now)?
- She... She doesn't have any... ;;u;; Yume thinks in the short term... A lot. So while figuring out black rain is on her list, that's probably the only thing there. In fact, she honestly has little idea of where she's going after her degree.
If these goals seem at odds with each other, or with their dreams, how do they reconcile the differences?
- N/A~~
How do they seek to fulfill these dreams, goals, & ambitions?
- Work hard, study hard, don't get distracted- her friends are showing her that this isn't actually the best way to do it while remaining SANE.
Do they have any great rational or irrational fears or phobias? If so, what are the origins of, or reasons behind them?
- Her shadow. It causes a hate for all explicitly dark type shadows in general, but above all she detests hers. This is because, when she went with Kimi to awaken her shadow, it immediately lashed out at all in sight- devouring the shadows of all those present and throwing them into a coma, whilst injuring many there in the aftermath. This event was called 'Black Rain', as the shadow in question seemed to resemble nothing but pure darkness with a central, beaked and toothed head.
How do they react when this fear manifests itself?
- When it manifests? She freezes. Hell even the mention of the event early on would get this reaction. She shuts completely down, and it takes a lot of shouting and smacking around to get her head back on straight. This is only concerning the shadow itself, or the event though.
Are they willing to discuss, or even admit to, the situation?
- Um, NO.
What are their attitudes regarding material wealth?
- It's a requirement to survive in a sense- the most she gathers in terms of material is books really, and she sees that as a resource rather than a wealth. As it is, she sees money as something needed to pay the bills and buy food.
Are they miserly with their share of the wealth, or do they spend it freely?
- She doesn't spend her money on much, but you can't really call her 'miserly' either. She uses what she has for food and rent, and whatever's left over typically sits until there's something there that she decides she absolutely can't do without. And since that isn't much, this means that she has a bit of pocket change most of the time. The fact is though, most of her money goes toward her schooling right now.
Are they greedy or generous?
- I'd have to say neither- as stated above, there isn't much she'll go after, and the things she DOES gather are the sorts of thing she has no qualms in lending to someone she trusts.
Do they see wealth as a mark of success, or just as a means to an end?
- Means to an end, for sure. Heck, she respects Hatsu and Shou the most out of the group of friends, and Hatsu literally has nothing but the clothes on his back- he sleeps in a tree for pete's sake.
How do they generally treat others?
- On flat, neutral ground- she prefers not to judge at first sight... Though if 'first sight' involves something that will tick her off, then congratulations, you ticked her off. In general though, she'll be polite and apparently calm.
Do they trust easily (perhaps too easily) or not?
- Not easily at all- she's nice, true, but she doesn't give away her secrets to anyone- particularly not the darkest ones. It's borderline complete lack of trust, borderline because of the fact that she does in fact have a few people that she can safely rely on... Despite the fact that she refuses to rely on people.
Are they introverted (shy and withdrawn) or extroverted (outgoing)?
- Very introverted. Very very very- this is quite ironic given how freaking outgoing she was as a kid.
Are they a humble soul or blusteringly proud?
- Humble! Too much so- the only reason she can do her job with apparent confidence is that she has a test score in her face telling her that she's the best for the job- more over, a life is always on the line for that, so she doesn't have time to even try to be proud or humble about things. Outside that job though... Hohhhhhhh, she'll put up a slight image of pride to prevent anyone from noticing, but she does not think highly of herself at all...
Do they act differently than they feel (concealing their true thoughts)?
- See the above? She's typically a very depressed person- her smiles are vague and rare for a reason. Of course, she's not acting TOO differently from this, since most people she hangs around will in fact say that she has the effect of making the air a bit gloomy...
What habits would they find most annoying in friends?
- General pestering really. Invasion of personal space is the top on that list, though annoying speech and useless speech is another.
Is there any race, creed, alignment, religion, class, profession, political viewpoint, or the like against which they are strongly prejudiced, and why?
- Darkness class shadows (Read; 'Dark type duel monsters'). She hides it well, but that doesn't mean she's pulling a slight face behind her mask whenever she has to handle one in the 'Dream', and it's noted that she's particularly vicious in battle when against those ones... (Note that she cut a skilled dark magician in half for 'being in the way', as opposed to cutting it to the side like she did a number of other things.)
How do others typically react to them?
- They might not feel as cheery as before if they sit around her too long, but typically, unless they're meeting her in person, they don't even realize that she's there. And if she's meeting in person, that generally means she's being her polite self so... They tend to react as most would in the face of a quiet, polite person.
Why, in their opinion, do they act that way?
- Because that's the social norm. She certainly doesn't think she's got anything to do with it.
What are their most annoying habits?
- She has this horrible habit of only buying ramen, since she can cook it really quickly and get right back to her work.
What is their favorite food?
- Hishi Mochi. In other words, three coloured mochi typically made on girls day. This is one of the few things she feels no shame toward. It looks like this: http://www.iromegane.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/images3.jpeg
What is their favorite drink?
- Chai tea. She typically drinks coffee in the mornings, but CHAI TEA..! (The latter helps her relax, so it's more of an after class thing to have with her meds before bed.)
What is their favorite treat (dessert)?
- Technically, it is up there with favorite food... But second place goes to this: . MELONBREAD. ...Yea she's a bit of a sweet tooth to tell the truth. (Puts like three sugars in her coffee, the nut.)
Do they favor a particular cuisine?
- Japanese? She doesn't have preferences really...
Do they savor the tastes when eating or "wolf down" their food?
- She eats fairly quickly inside her apartment- out of the desire to attract as little attention as possible to herself though, she'll eat extremely slowly outside, and in small amounts. Expect her to take the food back home though, she'll probably wolf it down there, if she ordered any food at all.
Do they like food mild or heavily spiced?
- Mild- she's got a tongue for sweets not spices.
Are there any specific foodstuffs that they find disgusting or refuse to eat?
- Not really. Though she's learned to avoid anything heavily spiced beyond the typical 'mild' range available to Japan...
Are they allergic to any food?
- Nope.
What are their favorite colour(s)?
- Pastels, for sure, though she doesn't really care for pink. She sticks to the cooler ranges of pastels. Pale yellows, pale blues... Avoids violets and blacks thought.
Is there any colour that they dislike?
- She utterly detests black, along with heavily darkened shades of any colour. She'll tolerate them for shoes and such, but even then she'll try avoiding it. Also pink. She 'tolerates' pink, and avoids it once it gets too bright in shade.
Do they have a favorite (or hated) song, type of music, or instrument?
- She tends to listen to techno while working on her things- the interest varies though, and when she was younger she used to sing quite a bit... Much to the annoyance of others. (She could probably sing quite well if she wanted even now, but... She really doesn't see the point/enjoy it any more. Maybe in time...)
What is their favorite song?
- She doesn't have a favorite- she tends to refresh the playlist rather often.
If they have a favorite scent, what is it?
- Flowers. Though she happens to know exactly what Hatsu's catkins smell like after the twins made a bracelet from them, and will typically NOT respond positively to it- if she smells it, that means he's far too close for comfort.
What is their favorite type of animal?
- She likes cats. Quite a lot actually.
Do they have an animal totem or affinity, and if so for what?
- Her shadow? The trickster spirit 'Raven'. I'd say that counts.
Is there a certain type of animal that they hate or fear?
- She doesn't like foxes any more thanks to Reynard... Though she can't really say 'hate', since Reynard isn't really a normal fox.
Are they allergic to any kinds of animals?
- No.
Do they have any allergies?
- Nope~
Is there anything that enrages them?
- Senseless actions concerning life- the destruction of it, the harm of it... She convinced herself, early on, that sealing 'unbound shadows' into objects while inside someone's mind was alright because in a sense, she was simply providing a second option of 'partnership' for them, but once she realized that this actually meant she was shattering any possible 'true bonds' they could form, she stopped. As it is; the first time she REALLY enters a rage in 'fanfic time' is when she discovers that the twins she's about to treat were one person... One person split in two by their own father.
Is there anything which embarrasses them?
- You'd have to really go out of your way to make her look foolish in front of someone before that happens. Though certain teasing remarks and actions from Reynard can do that fairly easily as well.
How do they react to being teased about it?
- In public she'll typically flush- most public things aren't that bad, and if they are, it's one of those please let me melt into the floor moments. In private... That typically means it's Reynard being stupid, so she'll get rather snippy about that.
Do they enjoy "roughing it", or do they prefer their creature comforts?
- Capable- she prefers a roof though.
Do they believe in the gods?
- Yes and no- since a lot of 'gods' from old time religions have been revealed as shadows, she believes that 'gods' exist, but not in the all powerful sense.
Do they have a patron deity?
- Technically, she's got a shadow for one... Regardless, she doesn't believe anything is watching her.
Are they devout or impious?
- Doesn't even think about it- impious.
Do they actively worship and proselytize or do they simply pay lip service?
- Look above~
What lengths would they go to defend their faith?
- N/A
Was their faith influenced or molded by anyone special?
- Experience? The belief of spirits is attributed to shadows only after considerable time working in myth and history as an interest in school- and as it is, the dominant religions of Japan are Buddhism and Shintoism...
How has this impacted their faith and life?
- N/A~
Is their church an accepted religion where they grew up or did it have to conduct its services in secret?
- N/A~~
How did this affect their faith and life?
- N/A~~~~
Have they ever been persecuted for their faith?
- Once. She managed to somehow find a person who refused to believe shadows existed as anything more than 'animals'. This was hilariously turned around when their kid's shadow turned out to be one of the most intelligent beings possible, and a 'God type' at that.
If so, when and how did they handle it?
- She got a tad taken aback for a moment, but managed to convince them to let her do her job and replace their child's shadow... She let the shadow handle it after that.
Can they kill?
- Not a person. She can and will kill shadows within the dream though- kinda her job. Prefers to avoid it when she can in reality though, as she knows what the repercussions are. She prefers to have the 'authorities' deal with anything truly horrible.
When did they decide (or learn) that they could?
- Dark-type shadows were already seen as monsters in her eyes; after that it was a matter of training not for the purpose of killing shadows (and it's never about that..!), but for the purpose of saving Kimi. And later on, when Kimi went missing (and was presumed dead), to save others.
What happened and how did they handle it?
- N/A..? Training typically starts with more beastial shadows as targets to prevent any shocks- once they get through that, they can get to the more 'soldier-y' form of going after humanoid shadows- and given how many of those there are, that's pretty damn important.
When do they consider it okay to kill (under what circumstances)?
- On the job, or, if it ever comes to it, in a situation where it's 'one or many'- this happened with Hatsu in fact. Except... Hatsu lived. Life or death is another one, though she doesn't think about that one.
When do they consider it wrong to kill (under what circumstances)?
- Um. Any other time? Killing for rage or mere vengeance is considered wrong in her eyes particularly though.
What would they do if someone else attempted to (or successfully did) kill under their "wrong" circumstances, what would be their reaction?
- In front of them? That would be one of the few things to throw her into a rage... And she might not be able to hold back from doing the same to the perpetrator either.
What if it were their enemy?
- Seeing how she doesn't really have 'enemies' persay... See the above.
What if it were their friend?
- ABOVE. ABOVE!
What if it were an innocent?
- And again, above!
What if the opponent were not in control of their own actions (under duress, charmed, dominated, possessed)?
- Target the one in control, for certain... If she's aware of that at least. If she doesn't realize they were under control, then there's a high chance of the above. If it's one of her friends though, she'll likely have picked up on it being an unwilling action.
What would they do if someone shot at (attacked) them?
- Defend herself and get them to a properly incapacitated point so that they can be properly dealt with.
What would they do if something were stolen from them?
- Either report it or get it back, depending. Not much to steal from her- and if it was her shadow, she'd kind of be comatose.
What would they do if they were badly insulted publicly?
- Depends- battle, she typically throws it back in their faces with her sword... Possibly a remark of her own, though she'll likely react to the insult if it bears some weight. In everyday life though, it again depends. If it involves her past, she'll likely freeze and take it, believing it to be deserving. If it's a standard insult, she'll probably end up a little affronted, but surprisingly enough attempt to continue the conversation civilly, if not with a bit more of a chilled undertone. She's quite good at playing with stealthy insults when it gets worse, but at its peak she'll typically just start getting annoyed and dropping the intelligent conversation cover- the latter very rarely happens though. Reynard is probably the only one to have gotten to that point (and with particular ease too...).
What would they do if a good friend or relative were killed by means other than natural death?
- Mourn. Heavily. And if the culprit was obviously a problem, target them to a certain extent- if there's one big thing about Yume, it's that she's a bit of a hypocrite; she doesn't condone vengeance drives, but if someone very clearly targeted someone close and killed them, she'd go after them despite that thanks to a rage-fit.
What is the one task they would absolutely refuse to do?
- Eh? Killing you mean? Making this simple and sticking to jobs, she very typically refuses those with previously 'broken' minds, the aggressive and the violent- this is because their mind typically harbors an even greater risk to any doctor entering... But also because those ones tend to find ways to turn the doctor's strengths or minds against them, and with Yume that's a serious issue.
What do they consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why?
- Senseless harm to another human being. Note that it says human there... She's only recently started to see shadows as something more than just a physical manifest of a human soul in the form of a 'monster'. (Because shadows are indeed, to an extent, their own 'being'.)
How do they feel about government (rulers) in general?
- They exist for a reason, and while a few could use some fine tuning, they keep society in check.
Why do they feel that way?
- She's a student, and a 'Doctor', the latter of which involves entering people's minds and fixing souls up in a manner not unlike putting a slightly different square block into a square hole. As someone who lives and moves around the 'standard' middle class and sees what crimes can affect them, she has a fair sense of what should and shouldn't be punished or controlled, and feels that the government is at least on the 'right track' if she doesn't already feel the system is adequate; particularly since history tells her, quite clearly, it could be a hell of a lot worse.
Do they support the current government of their homeland?
- So long as they don't suddenly run corrupt... She's not stupid enough to think that the entire law enforcement and government is made up of angels of course, but she likes to think that most of them are at least doing their job properly.
If so, how far are they willing to go to defend the government? If not, do they actively oppose it?
- Of course, despite the support, that doesn't mean she's going to suddenly become a patriot... She's on neutral ground with defense and opposition toward the government.
Do they belong to an anti-government organization?
- Nope.
If so, describe the group and its aims.
- N/A~
What form of government do they believe is the best (democracy, monarchy, anarchy, aristocratic rule, oligarchy, matriarchy) and why?
- Democratic- get some decisions in there!
Have they ever been persecuted for their political stance?
- Not really. It's not as though she constantly voices political opinion, and she's not strictly for any one person- she votes for who she feels is going to do the best in the Prime Minister's position.
If so, describe the occurrence and how it affected them?
- N/A~~
Are they a member of any non-religious group, cause, order, or organization?
- Nu-uh.
If so describe it, its goals, and membership.
- N/A~
How loyal are they to this group and why?
- N/A~~~
How did they become a member?
- N/A swarm~
If they are a former member, did they leave voluntarily or involuntarily and why?
- N/A!~
Was it under good (amicable) conditions or bad?
- N/A~! (This is becoming a pain...)
Are they being sought or hunted by the organization?
- N/A~~~
If so, by whom and with what intent (to murder they, to force their return through blackmail or coercion, to spy on they and make sure they do not reveal any of the groups secrets)?
- N/A~~~~~~
Do they have any unusual habits or dominant personality traits that are evident to others?
- Evident to the people who catch them...
If so, describe them and how they acquired them, as well as when they might be more noticeable and what causes them.
- Quiet as she is most of the time, those aren't her unusual habits. And while it's typically the dominant side to her personality, there IS her set of 'Jou-isms' as Hatsu calls them. Specifically, when suddenly presented with a topic that appeals incredibly to her, she'll start opening up. She begins going into tangents of conversation on the topic, smiling, making gestures, references... The only draw back is that it's near impossible to shut her up, which brings us to...
How do they react if made fun of for any of these things?
- It's not so much being made fun of as that she assumes they are, at least in their minds. Typically, someone will mention that she's getting off topic, she'll stop talking, go a little red in the face, and revert to 'standard Yume'.
Do they have any unusual or nervous mannerisms, such as when talking, thinking, afraid, under stress, or when embarrassed?
- She taps her foot or finger against something when she's getting annoyed about things, or trying to focus on something. As for embarrassment, it's typically a somewhat red face, possibly accompanied by a slight stammer. For pretty much everything else it's either silence (which looks no different from her standard appearance really) or complete stiff shock, which comes with a matching expression. OH!

Also! There's a 'snap' point when it comes to things such as Black Rain- talk about it enough, and she might just have a pained 'grin' in place as she admits to what she sees as her crimes... It's all very frightening.
If so, are there any reasons behind them from their past?
- Not really no- the fear factor ties in with shock from Black Rain, but that's it. (Obviously, the 'snap' point ties to that too.)
Do they have an unusual gait or accent?
- When she runs, it looks sort of like she's flying... Very fluid motions really.
If so, where did they acquire them?
- It's because of how she moves while within the dream- she melts, quite literally, into shadows, essentially floating through nothingness. The result is that her movements tend to be quite fluid.
Are there any circumstances where they become more (or less) evident?
- It's more evident in the Dream, but that's kind of because there are actually shadows to melt into.
How do they feel and react if made fun of for any of these things?
- She isn't made fun of for it- no one really notices the fact that she happens to move with slightly more grace than most.
What place would they most like to visit?
- She's never said it out loud, but she has a list of historical sites that she wants to see before she dies. .... Egypt's Mortuary Temple to King Seth is one of them, hilariously enough.
What (if any) are their favorite forms of art?
- Dance, actually- her battle style is quite similar to it due to all the flows and twists, so she has a lot of respect for it.
What is their most treasured possession?
- It's a small 'pillow' from when she and Kimi were friends- they tended to exchange lots of things back then.
What things could he/ she not live without?
- Pillow (She actually sleeps on it in fact), big book of mythology, and her 'glove'.
Do they have a good luck charm?
- She doesn't really believe in luck, but she has a string of dried catkins at the insistence of the twins.
If their life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would they do in those remaining hours?
- She'd guiltily hide the fact from all the others and then spend as much time with them as possible until maybe half an hour was left... Before going off somewhere alone to die.
Do they have a "Black-and-White" view of reality or can they see shades of grey?
- More or less shades of grey- despite her morals and beliefs in the world, a lot of those beliefs are formed based on the assumption that the world can't get much better, if at all- and while she herself tries to adhere to her morals as much as possible, she still has fairly dark opinions on everything else. They've gotten better though, thanks to hanging around other people.
Do they prefer to tear down or build up?
- Does 'Board Up' count? I suppose 'Tear Down' is the closest thing to that really
Are they deliberate or spontaneous?
- Mix of both- she plans things quite meticulously in the real world, but when it comes to the 'Dream' she's quite the improviser, what with it being a battle field and all- typically, if she's in a battle mindset, she'll be making more spontaneous moves as a result.
Do they prefer the town or the country?
- She likes the city- things are closer together. She can see the charms of the country though, being someone who keeps trying to cut ties to everyone around her after all.
If made to decide, would they rather be deaf or blind? Why?
- Deaf. She needs her eyes as much as possible in the 'Dream', not to mention reading, school... She can at least somewhat get by if she's deaf. Being blind would destroy her. (Particularly since she would essentially be trapped in permanent darkness.)
How do they feel about magic, myth, and the supernatural?
- She loves it. LOVES IT. She sees 'magic' more as a 'science that has yet to be explained', but holy shit she gobbles this stuff right up. THE SETO KAIBA LOOK ALIKE, EVERYONE.
Do they remember their dreams?
- The only time she dreams she sees the 'Raven' or 'Black Rain', and much as she doesn't like it, she certainly remembers what the dream was when she wakes up.
Describe a typical dream they might have.
- Situation one, she finds herself in pitch black darkness looking toward the 'Raven' before bolting in the opposite direction, falling as it chases her and shouts incoherently, and wakes up. Situation two just tosses her into the start of the dark part of 'Black Rain', and will typically end with Yume's 'death'.
Describe their worst nightmares.
- Look up!~
