Two fic exchanges done! I'm really proud of myself for writing so much in one month and actually liking both the products, which are so this is your maverick and A New Way to Breathe.

I wrote (very mild) smut for the first time. So... that happened.

The next chapter of Something of Our Own is still in progress, sorry. Between a bunch of assignments

In Hunger Games? I don't bother leaving concrit unless I'm already friends with the author. It's a super-duper sensitive fandom and I've had my head bitten off, so nah. (Plus honestly, it's not worth it. If people want to write uber-ebil Careers or woobie Finnick or pregnant-in-Arena Clove there are a billion more out there, so I'm not gonna keep trying to empty the lake with my little bucket. XD)

It's insane because like 12 years ago, maybe, when I was big into DBZ, we were all leaving BLISTERING concrit on each other's stuff and it was awesome. I'm glad for the HGs friends I have with whom I can have long discussions and talk about what works/doesn't work, but generally in this fandom I mostly leave it alone.

Yeah, it was in HG fic. The worst reviews I saw were for someone who bounced ideas off me, and vice versa, so I was probably inclined to support her unconditionally. I don't know, just one of my comments in particular makes me shudder and question who the heck I was at fourteen.

I don't bother with certain fics anymore, either. I definitely don't venture outside of the people I know on other sites or have alerted/bookmarked as much as I used to. It's just better that way.

That does sound great. I love concrit and I also love discussion so if I get some heavy concrit, I want to talk it out and see how exactly I can improve rather than just accepting some advice. Even though I consider everything, I don't always agree - but I always appreciate someone going out of their way to help me as a writer. I wasn't doing much of that in the reviews I saw. :/

Also, I came across some old reviews of mine the other day and... wow. I've made some pretty ignorant remarks just to appease the author. I really can't get over it, despite knowing I've changed a lot, three years later.

Oh my god, I totally know what you mean by the whole 'trying to appease the author' thing and not being able to get over it. Some of the reviews I left years ago still make me shudder when I think about them. It's just...I honestly don't know what I was thinking. :/

Congratulations on completing two huge projects! That's incredible because I know I'd never be able to accomplish the same in my lifetime. (I've had enough trouble with working on just one exchange in the past).
