This was excellent. It can't be easy for Finnick's son, growing up the only legacy of a hero. I liked how you pointed out how all the things he knows about Finnick are things that everybody knows. This particular detail, I could picture perfectly, the way it would grate on a young man. I also like that you set this when Finn is nineteen, old and mature enough to contemplate these things calmly but still unsettled by them. He's sensitive like his dad, but in a completely different way the original Finnick was/is sensitive, and clearly his own person.

It's also a little sad to see how Annie deals in this ever so slightly creepy way, having kept Finnick's house rather than hers and having named her son after him and still pretty caught in both her PTSD and her memory of him.

So inquiring minds want to know - do Annie and Jo (who was hilarious informing the press about crime that isn't being investigated!) have a relationship? ;)

Thank you!! It was certainly interesting writing the son of my otp. And I killed him in buoy so I kind of owed it to him to actually flesh him out as a person. Glad you enjoyed the result ( ... )

Ooh, I absolutely love Odair!spawn fic, and this was lovely. I'm fascinated by THG next-gen!fic...seeing how they grow up in still-healing, PTSD-ridden families and how that affects their transition into adulthood. Also, I LOVE not-aunt!Johanna. Great fic. <3
