I enjoyed this a lot. The use of the alter egos was an interesting way for the guys to explore possibilities. Hot and sweet.

He turned again and blew Welsh a kiss through the blinds.
*laughs* Lieutenant Welsh, puzzled as to why his top two detectives aren't doing the dirty, throwing them case after case where they have to pretend to be gay. I think his next step might have involved tying them to a motel bed with a 48-hour pre-paid subscription to the gay porn channel.

I really liked hoiw conflicted Ray was about Tony. Turned on, but irritated as all fuck by him. Fantasizing about kissing Fraser when Tony kissed him - our boys are getting a bit twisted here!

Hmm. Interesting suggestion. An idea for a F/K dialog only ficlet is popping up right now :)

Yeah, aren't they? I really liked that image myself.

I could make a whole list of lines I love from this story, but I think this one is my favourite of all:

Welsh held strong democratic values when it came to his detectives objecting to the orders he gave them-“By all means, gentlemen, protest your heads off. Everybody is entitled to his own opinion”-but when they didn’t obey them he was more of a Republican.

Such a Ray comment. :) All of it is lovely, a very nice, very sweet story. I love Matchmaker!Welsh. Yay!

Thanks for commenting. And a big thank you for favoring the democratic/republican thing. I really liked the pun potential there, but it took a few trials before the sentence got beta-approved. Thanks for letting me know it's primroseburrows approved as well :)

this story so far was telling a F/K tale, and yet it seemed to me that it was also dealing with something deeper than just a F/K tale.. there's something in the background that even smells a bit philosophical ;D

and i was very intrigued and kept reading while sitting on the edge of the chair, but i got to this part:

A big, warm, possessive hand was placed on the small of Ray’s back, stroking upward. Lips were put to his temple, moving down his jaw.

and i think i melted because up to this point there were some hotness mixed in with the confusion, but here the hot just slammed into your face. wow, i could've fallen over the chair!

he thought Fraser should either stop having an erection or fucking explain it to him.
oh Ray! *hearts your Ray voice*
