baby news. . .

I am finally able to update! I had my baby boy March 5th by C-section. The c-section went well, and I'm healing perfectly! My baby was 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. He is the most beautiful/perfect thing I have ever seen. .I'll post pics within the next few days...his name is Logan Robert Ronk.

The "bad news" about my baby is he has been sick basically sense birth. He spent about 4 hours in the nursery the night he was born because the nurses said he wasn't breathing properly and he had a lot of "nasal flaring." He was spitting up a lot of what he ate. He was very lathargic. .
at his one week checkup his weight was at 5 lbs 3 oz, so he lost A LOT. . . the docs wanted us to go to a different place to complete blood work and on our way there they next day our doc called us and told us to go straight to the E.R.
Blood tests shows that our little Logan has "Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia" (CAH)
Basically that means that he is a "salt waster" his body doesn't make the right amount of cortozone to hold his salt in, so he just basically pees it out. Its genectic, and both his father and I carry the gene for it, and any baby that we have has a 25% chance of having CAH and a 75% chance of just carrying the gene for it. Logan is the 25% that ended up having CAH. Thankfully, it can be controlled through meds, but he has to be on meds for the rest of his life to help his body hold the salt in. He'll have to take one pill 3 times a day, and another pill 2 times a day. he has been in the PICU since Wed the 14th and hopefully, he'll be able to come home tomorrow. he is doing so much better though. He isn't dehydrated anymore and his color looks 100% better. I'm doing alright I guess. Really emotional since Logan's birth, but things are working out. My hormones are just totaly out of whack as is expected!
I'll post pics sometime next week when I figure out too, but if I figure it out tonight, I'll do it then under a cut! I hope you all are doing well!
