Back Again!

Hi Ladies!  I've been a member of this group for some time now but life has been so busy since the birth of our son in March that I haven't had a chance to come in and post.  Things are getting a bit easier now and I'm getting used to being a Mama to an 18 month old and a 3 month old so I thought that I would come in for an update.
Dalton Alistair was born March 13 after a very easy, short, natural delivery.  I couldn't have been happier with how things turned out with the birth because it was exactly what I wanted.  My first birth wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I wanted (ended up getting pitocin, which I didn't want, and because of it and the contractions that ensued I was told that I needed an epidural to relax in order for the labour to continue) but after much education about labour and delivery I went into my second labour full of knowledge about what I wanted/needed.
My husband is an Officer in the Navy and was out to sea for my last two weeks of pregnancy.  He actually wasn't suppose to be there for the birth because my due date was March 11 and he wasn't due home until March 12.  But it worked out great, because he came home two days early and I went two days overdue!  So in addition to my wonderful Doula (who I have now become great friends with) my husband actually made it to the birth of our son.
Dalton is a great baby!  He is very easy going, very happy baby and we couldn't be happier. His big sister Sophie loves having a baby brother as she is always kissing and hugging him.  I'm really lucky to have two easy going babies because with DH being in the Navy, he is out to sea at times leaving me and the kids at home (hence me not being around much...he was out to sea for the last month!).
So that is use in a nutshell.  I'll be around a bit more always reading and commenting!  I love seeing all the babies and it sounds like we have the cutest, happiest babies here in the March 2007 group!
