mischa had her 4 month check up today. she's 14 pounds (55th percentile) and 25 inches (75th percentile) and had her second set of shots. her doctor said something to me that sort of bothered me though. she was telling me that babies truly are a gift even if they aren't planned. i told her "oh, but mischa was planned. my husband and i were ( Read more... )

Ugh people are so rude! Why dont they think before they open their mouths, especially a DOCTOR? Um, hello! That would hurt some people's feelings to say things like that.

I get crap like that all of the time too! Yes, we may look young, but we know what we're doing a majority of the time, LOL.

i keep getting mistake for being 17-20 all the time. nice change as when i WAS 17-20 i was mistaken for 30!!!!! a lady at micheals almost started giving me a lecture for being so young with a kid when i piped up and told her i was 26.

People are weird. very weird. the whole " it's a mom thing" is just a excuse to not look so stupid i think.

Grrr. My husband and I were married as soon as I graduated high school. (I was 18 and he was 20.) We had been engaged for a year before that and dating a year before *that*. Three months after the wedding we were expecting our first. She asn't "planned", but we aren't stupid and e know that being less careful would result in pregnancy. I had to deal with so many looks and stupid comments.

Even now that I have four, (yes, still the same father, yes we know what causes it, actually they were all planned and anted...) people don't think before they talk. Mostly their response is "what are you, 12?!". The otherday a doctor was shocked and said "you look like a child yourself!" Thanks, jerk.

I have the forever youth curse too. I haven't aged a day since 15 I swear. When my oldest was about 6 months old I think I was 21 at the time (married) and I was in a business suit for work. I went to go get a passport for him and the lady informed me I needed a drivers license. I told her that wouldnt be a problem. She then was like honey how old are you? So I told her and she responded "OMG you look 12!". It was super irritating. In my job I get the looking young thing all the time. Usually followed by how I'll appreciate it when I'm 40...

i was 20 when i first started dental assisting. i actually had a teenage patient ask me "how old are you?" i told her i was 20. she said "oh, my mom thought you were like 15!" gee, thanks. i always get the "you'll appreciate looking young when you're 40 too..." ugh.
