Um. The egg. Since there is where evolution happens so therefore the chicken evolved into a chicken as we know it now in an egg even if a chicken as we know it now didnt lay it. Make sense? lol.

I can see the logic, lol. I don't mind insurance people as long as they don't ring up asking for info when they haven't sent in authority, don't they know about the data protection act?!

Okay the chicken and the egg - both came first, seeing as a chicken is sort of the grown up version of whats in the egg. I'm just gunna sit on the fence, i'f love to say something philosophical but its 7.48 am, not gunna happen.

Well, to be fair the chicken is the egg and the egg is the chicken, only time changes them. Ergo, they remain in essence the same.
