Okay ...

I loved it! I really had no idea what to do with my lunch break (after I successfully ignored the nice weather outside) and this story helped a lot to kill some time.
So great. Funny, fluffy, romantic, serious, in character ... the whole package. I can totally see this happen. He had brought her dinner before (*ignores that he had brought Chinese only for Hollis*) and he takes care of her. The conversation about coffee as a substitute for food reminded me of "Under Covers" and I loved how concerned he was back then and how he was now.
And I loved how you played with words and how they equivocated all the time - making fun of what they hear but at the same time knowing what the other really said and what it meant.
And the ending ... well, that's a cliffhanger screaming for a sequel *g*

I am so so so happy that you guys all think I managed to stay in character! I always try hard to do that, so it's rewarding to say the least when you all tell me I did indeed manage *hugs you*

LOL your comment made me giggle a bit. And also made me realize that some parts of this fic - that was just meant to be a silly, fluffy fic inspired by Chinese take-out lol - indeed sound a bit angsty. So don't apologize (as a general rule, you know XD) for misunderstanding it, because it was quite easy to fall into the trap.
