My aforementioned Boy Meets World entry/rant/whatever is in the works. I've just been so busy with finals and whatnot that I haven't had the time or energy to sit down and funnel my thoughts onto my keyboard. So that one should be next ( Read more... )

The Good: You're always fun to hang out with. And on top of it, you're one of the most loyal and honest friends I've got (and I haven't got many). I can always count on you to say something that makes me smile and think, "Gee, maybe shit isn't so bad." I never have to work hard to get you to share your true feelings, because you always wear them on your sleeve. And I think we've both learned a lot from each other. Plus I've always thought you're hot, but I think that goes without saying.

The Bad: You always believe that your opinion, however uninformed or biased it may be, is the only opinion. I hate it that you turn on me just because I see certain things differently than you do. I've always found it very enlightening to spend a few minutes looking at things from a different perspective, and I think that would do you good, too. Unfortunately, I think, when it comes to the people you call friends, you are too critical. Not that one shouldn't be critical in choosing their friends, but I personally believe that anyone who ( ... )

Truth be told, I still don't know you that well. But from what I know, I think you're a genuinely nice guy. In fact, you remind me a little of myself when I was in high school.

That's not necessarily a good thing. It means reality is one day going to bite you in the ass. My advice to you is: don't be in a rush to fall in love. I can tell that finding your "soul mate" is important to you, but don't be misled. Take it from me; once a man puts all of his faith in love, that man stands to lose everything he is.

You're young. Take your time. Enjoy your life. But always look at women with a jaundiced eye. Not all of them will be willing give you everything you deserve.

And also, the beard is tight, dude. I'd say keep it for a while.

It's probably not your fault, but drama seems to follow you. I'm almost hesitant to mention you around some people because I don't know if you're on their good side or bad side. I'll admit, sometimes you're a little hard to deal with. You usually lay back in the cut, not saying anything, and then when you do say something, a lot of times it seems like you're just looking to get into arguments.

I do think you've been a good friend, and I think you have a lot you can offer to people. Maybe look for ways you can help people, so they won't think you're only out to help yourself.

I'm almost tempted to ask "how so?" on the last sentence you wrote. But we see what we see.

honesty is cool.

You probably don't believe me, but I'm trying very hard to find something about you to complain about. Seriously. I have no complaints.

Oh wait, there was that period a couple of years ago where you hated me for no good reason. You remember. But I guess that's over.

The truth is, I envy you. You write the way I wish I could write. People look at you the way I wish they'd look at me. You've got style, charisma, wit, personality... the list goes on. It almost frightens me to think the type of person you could become in a few years ("frightens" in the good way, not the bad).

I guess that's why it surprised me so much that you're thinking of skipping college. I've said it over and over... college isn't for everyone. Not everyone belongs there. But of all the people I know that would truly get a lot out of higher education, you're near [if not at] the top. You could be the next Oprah... except (hopefully) not nearly as greedy.

So yea... that's what I think. And, I'll call you when I get a chance.

A) I didn't hate you persay. I just couldn't stand you? I'm not sure. It was a long time ago. Maybe it was something you did. :: shrug :: That's BEEN over.
B) You very well know I don't believe a word you wrote.
C) Oprah is not greedy!
