Then don't be something with a one of those dreams. You have the ability to dream whatever you like, and you should do something that makes you happy. As for the great school thing, anyone you talk to will tell you that once you've been in school for a year, you realise how pointless the whole search was. Every college has problems and most colleges are just as good as one another. Nearly everyone i've spoken to on it that tried hard for good schools said that afterward you realise you would probably be just as happy a lot of cheaper and more concentrated places. So don't worry bout too much. Do what Marc wants to do.

Hey, I feel your pain. As Klein said, you ought to pursue something else. Buck the system, because the system sucks. Dreams aren't supposed to conform to anything anyway -- they're yours.
It's just a shame we're all thrown into the system before we can form an opinion on it, and then when we finally figure things out, there isn't an escape route anywhere around.
You have to make it yourself.
