1. Moving without a horde of Providenzians and others is very difficult. There were times when we just could not move any more in a given day because of heat, humidity, rain, etc. Luckily we could do a little each day. Friday and Saturday were pretty rough. Since I was actually on vacation this week, I was able to see some of the bouts.

It's pretty amazing how high-tech everything is. The face-guards now have a clear plexiglass or lexan eye shield and have led's embedded into them to show hits.

Plus the staging has lights to register the first hit too. It's all pretty cool in a darkened arena with just spotlights on the runway.

Congrats on finishing up the moving. Am about to embark upon that heap of pain-in-the-assery myself. But you do win for getting a hand truck.

:grins: I haven't seen much of the fencing (I actually did catch the end of the women's team silver that was on while I was exercising, in the middle of the day), but I wish I knew more about it. It's one of the sports that I look at and feel like I'd appreciate a lot more if I knew anything about it.

Glad you've been enjoying it, though.
