I literally had no question about whether or not I was going

I think this may be why those other people you expected to come and talk you back into it didn't come. They figured you were a known quality and wanted to work on people who weren't planning on coming. :)

I had a ton of fun with that roleplay, some of the more challenging and interesting stuff I've done as a PC in a while. It will be interesting to see the fallout from that.

Yeah I tend to agree. I need to be careful though not to simply "blame Fathom" in any subsequent RP with anyone else. Phoenix needs to live with his decision.

Be well.

Just swinging in the rain, I'm just swinging in the rain! create_universe October 31 2008, 17:23:03 UTC
The Endgame NPC numbers are pretty insane these days. At one point we had three separate groups of field pain out at once, each numbering 8 or more. One group would fight on one side of the tavern, the second group had the other, and the third group would wait in the wings resetting and waiting for their turn to cycle in ( ... )

I actually had a good time fighting in the rain. It meant that most of my clothes were soaked, but it was awesome to be the "hardcore" kid out in the rain again, fighting to get at the Eight VIPs.

but Saturday night in particular couldn't have been very fun.

It wasn't really that bad. Yes, it was wet and we all got soaked, but it was warm enough that even I wasn't cold, which means it was pretty warm, and we had a warm monster camp to go back to after it was all said and done.

I've NPC'd in much worse weather than that (including the much-derided time when Rob decided to delay the Gaping Maw fight because it was 45 degrees and pouring rain), and to be honest the cold Friday night messed me up much more than the wet Saturday night.

I also have the big geek love for Avatar. draketamarak and I had no idea what we were in for when we thought we'd sit down and watch a little of it. We wound up watching the whole thing in big chunks.

Also, the Jonas mod was excellent. I thought you held your own very well against so many of us, your rants were inspiring, and you were clearly big enough to be scary. At least one of your spells hit... I had to cast a life spell on Valen!

Hope you're feeling betterer enough for Aralis....

I'm glad you thought it went well! I saw that with Valen. He stepped in front of a Death spell meant for Fire Eye! Big props to him for that.

I hope I'm well enough for Aralis too. If not...well there's always the loading up on cold medicine route...ugh.

Be well.

Dude!

I've watched Avatar since the first episode thanks to my insistance that I watch any new shows that my boys want to watch. It is hands down one of the best 'kids' cartoons I've had the pleasure of watching. I'm glad to see it's gotten a wider following than just the under 10 age-group, it's a rocking story.

Oh... and "Uncle Iroh" for the win, by far my favorite character! He is the ultimate NPC, and the episode where he sings "Little Soldier Boy" - I still get misty eyed over it. I'm pretty sure that's season 2, but no details just in case.

Yeah that is a great episode. He really is so bad ass in so many ways.

We have the 3rd season now! MUAHAHA! Will we finish it before this coming weekend? Probably... ;)

Be well.
