Decision Made: Biodiesel Jeep Liberty!!!

May 02, 2006 15:20

Well, I've owned my new Liberty about a week. In my last entry I extensively covered the biodiesel issue. I found that the local biopump is putting out my sweet veggie fuel at .16 cents cheaper than dino-diesel and .06 cents cheaper than regular gas ( Read more... )

It's cute! Unfortunately I can't stand the way they ride or the fact that they don't do well in mud... eh, guess it's a good thing I don't get to ride in it. :D hehehe, I'm glad you got a new car, not break down prone. :D It's awesome that you've got the biodiesel thing. I haven't seen that here yet. Like At all. Nrg. ::hugs::

anyways, <3 :D

Have you ridden in an '05 or '06? They changed the crappy ride from the earlier models by changing up the front end. No more surf and chop on the road. Mine is an '06, of course, so it rides pretty nice.

As far as doing well in mud? I dunno, haven't gone mud-bogging in it and prolly wouldn't without much bigger tires and other mods. :D

Biodiesel is sold at at least 4 different pumps up here in Seattle. It is a pretty big thing. Lots of old diesel mercedes and Land Rovers running around on the stuff.

Yeah, the one we had was an 05. We made sure that we had everything we'd need to slog through a marsh, and it still didn't do very well.. Ginger does better without the traction control system on. oO;; Eh. I suppose it may have been just an ill-favored experience on the whole. That and I'm used to the X5 for such outtings.

Yes, get bigger tires. :D That will likely help immensely. X) you and your tires ehehe.

Phoenix is just lame. And I don't think we have enough liberals or hippies to get that sort of thing going here. Lucky you. I was actually discussing getting a motorcycle with my mom last night. Keeping Ginger tho. It was an interesting conversation, during which the steam engines of BMW came up. The world is slowly turning into something out of an anime. I swear....
