Can openers are one of those things you don't really think about until you need, I notice.

We read War and Peace for this year's kick off; we just wrapped up the Brothers K a week and a bit ago. We're currently in the middle of senior writing period, and James Madison is /blatantly/ ripping off Hume and Smith at this point.

And that is indeed what ended up happening to that can. It died for my food.

I'm a bit young for it, yes; I never had the chance to meet the man.

War and Peace was foggy, in my head, by the end. I had the same problem with Brothers K; I had a lot of difficulty understanding the characters. With the Russians, I always feel as though I'm more watching a bunch of philosophical concepts bouncing off eachother, rather than people interacting. I'm pretty sure that's a naive and simplistic viewpoint that only betrays my lack of understanding, but dammit, I'm not reading several thousand pages again just to try it over.

And it was corn. Shoepeg corn.
