See, my point is, when parents are eating out at least three times a week, feeding their kids McDonald's, the kids aren't going to want to eat healthy food. One young, overweight girl in the movie said it herself, "It's hard

Here's something I've been wondering about lately... what is raw convenience food, besides a piece of fruit & some nuts or nut butter? If I'm on a road trip, I'm going to need to eat, and the salads at fast food places are pretty pitiful, even if I bring my own dressing.
Just eating an apple or picking up a cucumber and munching on it seems obvious, but making sure I get enough protein is a serious issue for me (blood sugar problems & such).
Good question and I have the same problems. And that's what I mean about how hard it is. I mean, for me, get out of the New York area and there's nothing to eat. There's not rest stops that serve raw

Oh, absolutely. I watch Denise Austin's fitness show every day and she promotes the foods you mentioned. Portion control is important, but if you're eating healthy natural foods, one doesn't have to worry as much. I eat between 3000 to 4000 calories per day and have at least 3 bowel movements a day

I think we'd all be a lot less tempted if there were more available options. *smiles*
Wouldn't it be great if Quick Chek served durians? If McDonald's had a Happy Fruit Meal? If there were as many Whole Foods as there are Burger Kings? If strawberries didn't cost almost five dollars a pint?
At my company Christmas party, we had every kind of food you can imagine including seafood and Indian food. Plus desserts of chocolate mousse, chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream parfaits, canolies, chocolate eclairs, cookies.
Was I tempted? No. You know why? Because we also had every fruit you can imagine. I made a platter of pineapple, papaya, strawberries, black berries, grapes, raspberries, kiwi, etc. Mind you this was in the dead of winter! *laughs*
If those choices weren't there, I'd probably go for some seafood and maybe a chocolate covered strawberry -- who knows?
I want to see that too. Probably next month when I have more $$$. I'm also looking forward to seeing Michael Moore's latest "Fahrenheit 911." It want the Palmme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival (even though Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limblow, Fox News, etc...will decry the "French" jurists for giving Moore the award, keep in mind that only one of the jurists was French. The rest were other nationalities (four of them [the most] are American, even Head Jurist Quentin Tarentino).
