Happy now? and
Last Christmas *****
Chad is the first to wake up slightly disorientated, because he’s in another room than he’s used to be in. He’s in another bed than he’s used to be in and his arm rests on a man he’s not used to having in his bed,... though he’s not complaining about that last bit of information. Jason is still in a deep sleep, probably the best sleep he’s had in weeks.
So Chad takes the time to look at Jason, who’s breathing is calm and even. He no longer looks as tired as he did yesterday, which soften the worry-lines in his face. And Chad has to admit that, even this close, he still looks very handsome and suddenly Chad can’t resist kissing Jason’s lips for just a second.
It’s a very soft little kiss, but Jason opens his eyes immediately, blinks against the light in the room. For a second there’s fear in his eyes, but then he sees it’s Chad kissing him and he smiles.
“Something tells me that Scotty is preparing breakfast.” Chad says casually, taking the attention of the kiss.
“Could it be the smell of fresh baked bread that gave it away?” Jason wonders teasingly.
“Mhmm, now that you mention it… Leave it to him to find the electric bread-maker and also knowing how to use the silly thing.”
“Maybe you should ask him for a crash-course? I like the smell, makes me hungry.”
“Do you think that, if I ask Scotty to show me, you would mind coming here to see how well I’ve learned?…. Just you and me?” Chad asks teasingly.
“I might.” Jason replies casually, but the look he gives Chad from under his eye-lashes give a complete different message.
Chad smiles, biting his lip, knowing that he looks sexy doing so and it doesn’t fail to get a good reaction from Jason, because Jason immediately starts to blush, which amuses Chad enormously. They laugh at each other, still a bit nervous and shy because they don’t know each other that well.
At the same time, they’ve seen each other in a pretty bad situation and they’ve grown to respect each other.
“So, how about we get up and join Kevin and Scotty?” Chad can see that Jason is a bit disappointed by his words.
“Yes, of course, we can.” Jason says and Chad smiles.
“Let’s take this easy, alright? You have a lot of stuff to work through and I’m not going anywhere, for now…. And… if you don’t want to be alone again tonight… maybe we can find some way to make that happen…?” Chad offers and Jason starts to laugh.

Kevin possessively places his hands on Scotty’s hips and pushes him back against his body.
“Kev… the eggs…” Scotty protests, not too loudly.
“… are fine in the frying-pan… Was it really necessary? The eggs?”
“After last night? You need to replenish.” Scotty grins. “And considering I don’t have oysters…”
“Oysters? This early? … Yugh!..” It sounds heartfelt and Scotty laughs, the smell of soap reaching his nose.
“I really like your shower-gel.”
“You should have joined me in the shower..” Kevin hums, kissing Scotty’s shoulder, playing meanwhile with the button of his pants.
“Kevin….!” Scotty warns playfully.
“Should we let you finish and come back in say,… oh,… five minutes…” Chad asks, entering the kitchen.
“If Kevin thinks he can get away with five minutes, then don’t bother.” Scotty replies with a grin.
“I thought that Kevin always thinks he can do it in five minutes and get away with it.” Jason grins and Chad hums in agreement, while taking a sip of water to swallow down his pain-killer.
“He hasn’t changed.” Scotty replies stoically.
“Oh, sure, gang up on me….” Kevin ‘whines’.
“Please, Kevin, I’m not going to discuss your erotic fantasies over breakfast.” Chad laughs.
“Lunch then?” Kevin suggests, with a sweet smile.
“You guys are so gross.” Jason shakes his head, still grinning, but then his face turns serious as he quietly signals at Chad to get Kevin out of the kitchen. Kevin raises an eyebrow, wondering what is going on.
“Kevin, why don’t we get the other dishes, from the living-room… They are much prettier.”
Even if Chad’s suggestion sounded weird, Scotty has no idea what happens behind his back and he’s too focused on the eggs. Kevin leaves the kitchen with Chad. Jason walks up to Scotty.
“Scotty, about last night…”
“I’m sorry if I read too much into it. I didn’t mean to offend you.” Scotty immediately apologizes. Jason looks so relaxed and cheerful, that Scotty can’t even imagine what he was thinking of last night. Maybe he had indeed wanted someone to know his feelings and had he just projected his problems onto Jason.
“Thanks, but … you were right… Something did happen between Alex and me… Something similar to what happened to you… With me, he just went a step further and… I couldn’t deal with it… I’m sorry I snapped at you last night. You were offering your help by talking about your experience with him.
And, I cannot even begin to imagine how hard that was for you, to discuss this with me, … which makes my being so unfriendly even worse… And I’m truly sorry. I… I still can’t talk about it… I’m sorry… I feel I should be able to confide in you, but…”
“It’s alright. We don’t have to… But talk to someone, or this secret will ruin you.”
“I told Chad last night… He stayed with me this night… Not... Not like… Nothing happened between him and me, it’s just…” Jason stammers and Scotty raises his hands.
“… none of my business. I’m not judging. I’m not assuming. And I won’t gossip.” Scotty says with a gentle smile. “All I’m asking is that you talk to someone… maybe more professionally?”
“A shrink?”
“It’s not as bad as you think…. I had a good one… I could give you her address… No obligations to call..”
“Thank you. I’d like that….” Jason replies non-committal, because at that moment Chad and Kevin come back into the kitchen, ending the conversation between Jason and Scotty.
Chad is still in awe over the amount of snow that fell and wants to go for a walk. Jason quickly agrees to accompany him and Chad asks Kevin and Scotty as well, who are suddenly rather unanimous in their decision to spend some time together.
The hint is about as subtle as getting hit over the head with a sledge hammer, but they all pretend to not know what is going on and soon enough everyone enjoys the good, strong breakfast Scotty made. Kevin and Scotty have a lot of fun just watching Chad and Jason be flirtatious with each other.
And once breakfast is over Scotty chases them out of ‘his’ kitchen, with the promise that Kevin and he will clean up and that they should go for their walk.. Not that it really comes to any cleaning, because Chad and Jason are hardly gone or Kevin chases Scotty up the stairs, back to the bedroom.
They fall on the bed and quickly enough are lost in their kisses as Kevin’s hands search Scotty’s body. Scotty can hardly wait for Kevin to start their love-making and soon enough he calls out Kevin’s name, begging him for more, encouraging him to go faster, until that moment that both of them lose complete control.
Afterwards, Scotty snuggles up close to Kevin and he happily draws sweet nothings on Kevin’s chest. Kevin smiles, lazily caressing Scotty’s back and kissing Scotty’s hair. And it’s only when Scotty’s fingers rest and Kevin realizes that Scotty has fallen asleep again, that his smiles fades, to make place for a serious frown.
