Summary: Remember how Chad proposed to Jason at the end of "Underneath the mistletoe"? Well, Chad and Jason have set the date for their wedding, but will things go as smoothly as Chad/Jason had hoped?
Just a short chapter, it's been very busy. :)

Chad puts the magazines on the table. He had read them all. Well, not really read them. Nine out of ten stories are nonsense, old news and re-printed lies, but he can finally throw away a stack of old papers that was just messing up his living-room, not that it makes him feel better about himself.
He picks up his phone and his thumb caresses the buttons. Should he call Jason? Just to see how he was doing. Just to say ‘hi’. … Just to hear his voice…He looks around for a reason to call Jason. Should he say he can’t find something, that he's wondering if perhaps Jason has it…. Plausible. But what could it be that Jason could have taken with him?
The phone suddenly starts to vibrate and ring and Chad, spooked by the coincidence, picks up without even checking who it is.
“Hello?” Chad says out of breath, somehow hoping it’s Jason.
“Hi, how are you?” Kevin asks and Chad sighs, barely covering his disappointment.
“Oh. Fine. I guess. So-so. … I miss Jason.” He admits, surprised by his own easy confession.
“Thought you might. Listen, why don’t come over tonight? It’s not very busy, so Scotty can concentrate on spoiling you with something that has had his full attention.”
Chad grins at the overly sexy undertone. Only Kevin can make Scotty’s food sound like great sex and, okay, Scotty’s food comes close.
“Why not? It’s not like I have a love-life that needs my attention.” Chad replies feeling a bit better. “Would six be too early?”
“No. Just fine. It will give Scotty enough time to make you an absolutely delicious dinner.”
“Sounds good to me. Can’t wait.” Chad replies, happy that he has such amazing friends like Kevin and Scotty, who are so supportive.
*****
“Hey, Jason…” Seth sits down on the couch and Jason puts aside his book. He knows that he should perhaps dislike Seth, because he’s Kitty’s new boyfriend, but he doesn’t. He can actually appreciate Seth’s patience, for someone so young he sure seems mature enough to understand and accept that a part of Kitty still mourns Robert’s death.
Yet Seth doesn’t seem to feel threatened by the memory of Robert, in fact he’s kind to Jason and interested in the McCallisters, where he could have really raised a fuss over it.
“Seth, what can I do for you?”
“Ahm,… this is a little painful, but…” Seth starts.
“Yes?”
“I made some plans for Kitty and me tonight and with Evan still feeling a bit sick, Kitty doesn’t want to leave this place, so I’ve been wondering if you could just…” Seth points at the front-door with an embarrassed look on his face.
“Get lost?” Jason asks amused.
“Listen, I don’t want to throw you out on the street. In fact, I called Kevin and Scotty and Scotty said that you could eat at the restaurant tonight…. I mean, you can still sleep here tonight, I just want a few hours alone with Kitty…” Seth explains with a hopeful look on his face.
Jason grins and shakes his head.
“Young lovers!” He laughs. “Of course, I don’t mind eating at ‘Café 429’. Maybe I can even crash at Kevin and Scotty’s place tonight. Kevin did mention they had an air-mattress I could use…”
“That would be sweet, but honestly, you don’t have to go that far…. Like I said, I don’t want to throw you out, just a few private hours with Kitty.”
“I completely get it. It’s alright. We’ll see what happens tonight.” Jason smiles and he can’t help but like Seth for his almost shy and embarrassed request.
*****
“6PM Jason OK.” Seth texts to Scotty and Kitty looks over his shoulder.
“I hope it works.” She sighs.
“Yes, me too. I really felt bad about asking Jason to leave like this.” Seth sighs.
“I know, baby, but he’ll forgive you, once things are right between Chad and him again.”

Saul doesn’t blink when he sees Jason enter the restaurant.
“Jason! Scotty told me that you’d be here tonight. He prepared quite a special meal.”
“Thank you, Saul, I could use some comfort-food.” Jason laughs.
“So I’ve heard.” Saul smiles back and he leads Jason to his table, where Jason sits down, his back to the door as Saul had hoped. The table is set for two and Jason frowns.
“Scotty has to work tonight, but Kevin will join you in a bit.” Saul explains.
“I suppose he has to eat too.” Jason replies and he look at the menu.
The door of the restaurant opens and Kevin immediately intercepts Chad.
“Hi, I’m glad you could come.” He says gently and he guides Chad to Jason’s table, where Jason looks up when he hears Kevin’s voice.
“Chad!” Jason says surprised.
“Jason?” Chad replies equally confused. He turns to Kevin. “What is this?”
“An attempt to get you two idiots back together.” Kevin replies.
“Well, don’t waste your time….” Jason gets up.
“I can’t see how…” Chad starts.
“No, you never can, can you?” Jason just decided that an attack is the best defense.
“What is that supposed to mean?” All Chad’s shields go up.
“SIT!!!!” Kevin's voice suddenly thunders through the restaurant and, shocked, both Jason and Chad become quite and sit down at their table.
