Season 7 - Episode 713 - Last dance

“First dance….” Justin announces, after most of the guests have had something to eat from the cold buffet. He grins when he sees Kevin’s face change color and the mischief on Scotty’s face. Justin and Scotty both know that Kevin hates to dance. But Kevin puts on a brave face and this time he’s the first on the wooden panels that make the dance-floor.
Obviously nervous he looks up at Scotty, who only smiles and takes Kevin in his arms. Justin gives the signal and the first notes to Maria McKee’s “Show me heaven” start to play. Feeling Scotty’s body against his own, Kevin closes his eyes and he lets Scotty and the music lead him.
In tears, Nora watches how Kevin puts his full trust in Scotty. She knows how much Kevin is giving away here. As the second chorus starts, she feels David’s hand on her back and she lets him take her to dance-floor. Justin takes Tyler’s hand and leads her there as well. Seth and Kitty follow.
Over Kevin’s shoulder Scotty can see how Wally reaches out to Bertha. He holds his breath. He cannot remember that he ever saw his parents dance together and now he’s witness how Wally’s hand slides over Bertha’s back and how they move to the music and it overwhelms him so much.
“My parents are dancing together.” He says in awe. “I never saw them do that before.”
“It’s our magic.” Kevin smiles sweetly and his words make Scotty laugh.
“I love you so much.” Scotty watches how Kevin closes his eyes again, wishing to dance just a little bit longer in Scotty’s arms, so Scotty holds him close.
He doesn’t see how, behind him, Browne dances with Lena or how Paige sighs with joy that’s she back in Mateo’s arms. He also misses how Cooper and Olivia try to find the rhythm of who should lead. Or Elizabeth moving to the music, with Billy in her arms. Scotty has the scent of Kevin’s hair in his nose and all he’s aware of is the man he’s dancing with.

“Thanks for getting us the keys.” Kevin gives Justin a quick hug.
“You’re welcome. Now, both of you get out of here, before someone notices that you’re gone.”
“Thanks again.” Scotty hugs his brother-in-law as well. He’s about to follow Kevin when he turns back to Justin.
“I couldn’t help but notice…. Tyler didn’t drink anything other than orange-juice. Not even a glass of champagne to our renewal… And she kept touching her belly…? Anything we need to know?” Scotty asks teasingly. Justin’s face speaks volumes and nervously he looks at his brother and brother-in-law.
“Ask me again in 24 days…. And counting down…” Justin eventually answers.
“So, she’s…?” Kevin’s smile reveals how excited he is about this news.
“You didn’t hear from me.” Justin says.
“Don’t worry. I won’t say a word.” Scotty reassures him.
“It’s not you that I’m worried about. It’s him.” Justin points at Kevin with his thumb. Scotty turns to Kevin.
“If you so much as hint that Tyler might be pregnant, there will no sex for you until the baby is born.”
“What?! That’s unfair!” Kevin protests.
“I think that will keep the secret safe for a while.” Justin grins.
“Congratulations, baby-brother.” And Kevin gives his brother a final hug, before disappearing into the night with Scotty.

At 11 o’clock that night, the party breaks up. Kids grow tired, most of the food is gone and drinks are no longer served from that moment on. Kitty says her goodbyes first. It takes Sarah a little longer to leave because Paige and Mateo can’t let go of each other, but when the Lockharts also say that they wish to leave, Mateo lets go of Paige, with a smile on his face.
Nora and David help Jordan to bring the kids back to Kevin’s house. Jordan will stay with the children until Kevin and Scotty return the next morning. Wally and Bertha return to their respective rooms, but at the door Bertha decides to join Wally for a last drink in his hotel-room. Her bed will remain untouched that night.
Browne drops Lena off at her place, but after the busy day, Lena suddenly dreads being alone in her house. She turns to Browne and she offers him a night-cap. He hesitates, but then agrees. Something tells him that there’s a good chance, that he will not go home tonight, but he’s willing to take that chance.
More and more guest leave and eventually it’s up to the staff of the hotel and Café 429 to clean up. Tyler is glad when she can finally close the door to the garden and that she can go upstairs to her home. Even with Justin’s help, it had been a long day and night and she’s beat.

“A room at the Playa de la Paz. I can’t think of a better place to celebrate our ‘after-renew-vows-night’.” Scotty jokes, placing his cufflinks in the small box that he had once made for his father.
“Would you mind if I put these in there as well?” Kevin asks, showing Scotty his own cufflinks.
“No, of course not. I guess, when Daniel gets married, we’ll have to fight over which ones he’ll get?” Scotty lets them move between his fingers.
“Not really. I think it’s only fair that yours should go to Daniel. They were your father’s, than yours, it’s only right that they would go to Daniel…”
“But …” Scotty looks at the thin ‘W’ on the cufflinks.
“My set will go to Billy. Dad gave them to Tommy, who then gave them to me. It’s only right that they should go to Tommy’s son.”
“That… is a lovely thought.” Scotty closes the box.
He turns to Kevin and cups Kevin’s face with his hands.
“I love you.” Scotty whispers. “I love you so much.” His lips barely touch Kevin’s and Kevin smiles under the tenderness. His lips part and Scotty makes the kiss deeper and more intimate. Kevin wraps his arms around Scotty and pulls him closer.

Nora puts down her glass of wine and shoves away the duvet. She sits down on her bed and looks at something in her lap. Her fingers gently caress the smooth surface. Then she places the picture of William and herself next to her bed. It’s newly framed and it looks pretty on the night-stand.
“Goodnight, William. I’ve loved you and I’ve hated you, but …. I think I love you more than I hate you. You were a good provider, you tried to be a good father, you were a good husband and a good boss…. I think it’s time we should remember that and not the mistakes you've made…”
She kisses her fingertips and places the kiss on the picture. She takes up her glass of wine, she raises her glass to William and she opens her book.
"And you should know that I've agreed to a dinner with David. We'll see....." She tastes the wine and nods with an appreciating look on her face. “Excellent taste you had.” She tells William and she starts to read.

Scotty fingers open the buttons of Kevin’s shirt, slowly exposing more skin. Kevin’s eyes follow the movements of those long fingers, every once in a while Scotty’s hand comes in touch with Kevin’s skin, creating a little shock in Kevin. Finally Scotty can push the shirt over Kevin’s shoulders and it falls to the ground.
He turns Kevin in his arms and goes on to kissing Kevin’s neck, while Scotty’s large hands dwell over Kevin’s chest, gently pressing Kevin closer to his own body. Even through the fabric of the pants, that they are still both wearing, Kevin can feel how aroused Scotty is and he smiles, when Scotty’s hands finally come to rest on Kevin’s zipper...

Holly enters her apartment, still feeling great from the wonderful day. She puts her keys down, surprised to see that the lights are on in her living-room. She carefully enters the room and sees a man sitting on her couch. The man gets up and the mixture of fear and concern gets replaced by a bright smile.
“David! You’re here!” Holly throws herself in her husband’s arms. “Are you going to stay for long?”
“Yes. Rebecca and Rick are briefly in New York and then fly back to Africa, but I’m not going back… I’ve missed you too much. I want to come home and be with you.”
Holly reaches up and caresses her husband's face. She's used to being always seperated from the man she loves, whether it is William or David, but David always comes back to her and she's sure that she doesn't have to share with anyone else.
“Oh, David. I love you…” Holly sighs and she kisses him again.

Scotty pushes Kevin down on the bed and his body covers Kevin’s. Scotty’s hands slide up Kevin’s thigh and Kevin moves his legs so Scotty can lie between them. One of Scotty’s hands slip under Kevin’s back pushing him up against Scotty’s body and an with the other, Scotty’s finger hooks under the Kevin’s remaining underwear and he pushes it slowly away.

“It was pretty.” Jonathan agrees with Saul. “You’re not suggesting that we should somehow do something like that as well, do you?”
“No, why should we? Kevin and Scotty have been through so much, this was a strong message to each other….. We don’t need this.”
“Good. Because I love you. Period.” Jonathan says.
“And I love you, you little love of my life.” Saul replies tenderly teasing his husband.
“You’d better. I don’t want to spend another day without you.” Jonathan tells Saul and Saul lets his head lean against Jonathan’s shoulder.

Though the sheets are pulled up somewhat they aren’t high enough to cover Scotty’s back. As he moves his body rhythmically between Kevin’s legs, Kevin’s hands caress Scotty’s back, encouraging him. Their kisses become more passionate and with a sudden movement, Scotty rolls over and takes Kevin on top of him.
Kevin laughs and grabs Scotty’s wrists and he holds them over Scotty’s head, while he kisses Scotty everywhere he can reach him. Scotty protests, but not very convincingly, and eventually, when Kevin slowly lets go of Scotty’s wrists to caress his arms and his sides, until Scotty’s hand in his neck forces Kevin to surrender to a long languid kiss.

Cooper is asleep on one side, but on the other side of Sarah, Paige is still wide awake, filled with dreams about Mateo. Paige takes Sarah’s arm and she lets her head rest on Sarah’s shoulder.
“My life is going to be as romantic as these late-night movies.” She sighs. ‘
“I’m sure it will be.” Sarah smiles. “I’m sincerely happy that you’re back with Mateo.”
“You’re not going to try and come between us?” Paige asks.
“No, I’ve learned my lesson. I don’t think that I’m the person to tell you about love.” Paige quietly agrees with her mother, but she doesn’t say anything.

Scotty pushes Kevin on his back and after some more kisses, Kevin can feel how he slowly moves down and then his head disappears under the sheet. Kevin moans and arches his back, his fingers grab the sheet underneath him. He closes his eyes, lost in the moment, and bites his pillow to not scream out Scotty’s name.

The bed isn’t that large, but it’s big enough for Seth and Kitty. And there’s even enough room for Evan and Grace. Neither Seth nor Kitty had felt the need to make too much fuss. They had put the kids in their bed between them and were asleep 5 seconds after their kids had fallen asleep. On the nightstand is Seth’s new book. It went on sale today.

By the time that Scotty’s head pops up from underneath the sheets again, Kevin is out of breath and sweat has formed on his chest. He smiles happily at Scotty and Scotty smiles seductively.
“My turn.” He warns Kevin and Kevin smiles as he rolls over to his belly.

“I told Kevin and Scotty… Or rather, Scotty had guessed.” Justin says. Tylers shrugs.
“It’s alright. I think I caught a stare or two from Sarah and Kitty as well, but they didn’t ask anything. I don’t believe we can keep it a secret for much longer anyway. I know you’re dying to tell the world.”
“For now, we’ll just keep quiet. The world can wait until we’re ready to tell them.” His hand rests on Tyler’s belly. It feels warm and heavy. Tyler closes her eyes and nestles closer to Justin and they both drink their apple-juice, happy with their little secret that is growing bigger in Tyler's belly.

Scotty moves against Kevin and he pulls Kevin closer.
“I can’t wait any longer.” He says and Kevin’s hum sounds satisfied. Scotty reaches out for the bag on the floor. When he turns back, he catches how Kevin licks his lips and he has to close his eyes for a few seconds.
“You’re so hot.” Scotty whispers.
“Time to cool me off.” Kevin invites and again he’s fascinated by how much passion Scotty can put in one glance.
“Come here.” Scotty moans and he pulls Kevin closer.

“I will destroy you, Kluv.” Chad repeats the sentence a few times using various degrees of menace.
“Stick to a more quiet version. If you get too shrill you lose credibility.” Jason advices.
“Is that so?” Chad asks.
“Yes. You’re Kluv’s arch-enemy. You want him dead, buried and destroyed, but you’re not some hysterical fool.”
“True.” Chad puts the script aside and he turns over to Jason. “And now, I want something completely different.”
“Such as?”
“A kiss from my husband.”
“You have no regrets that you stayed with me?” Jason suddenly asks.
“No. I love you. I was hurt and disappointed, but …. I can’t imagine my life without you.”
Jason places a kiss on Chad’s nose, knowing that this will most likely lead to more and he’s right. Chad takes Jason in his arms and gives him another kiss.
“Make love to me. I want you.” Jason begs and Chad pushes him down on the bed and takes control, as he always does.

Kevin moans. He’s almost unable to move. Scotty’s holds him so tightly.
“I can’t …” Scotty whispers in Kevin’s ear.
“Let go….” Kevin begs. “Just…” He lets out a cry when Scotty suddenly stiffens behind him and pushes him back down on the bed.
“You’re so hot… so sexy….” Scotty manages to say, heavily breathing right behind Kevin. Kevin grins. His own breathing is still uneven but he doesn’t care about that. The sheets that cover their bodies feels cool against is skin and he closes his eyes, while still in Scotty’s grip. He manages to roll over a bit and look at Scotty, with a satisfied smile on his face.

Jordan first checks on Elizabeth, now asleep in the room that used to be Mateo’s. Then he walks over to Daniel’s room, to find Daniel in a deep sleep as well. He checks on Olivia, who fell asleep reading her book. He turns off the light and puts the book on the nightstand.
And last, but not least, he checks on Billy, firmly asleep in the room formerly known as Elizabeth's room. He pulls the covers up around the little boy, but then leaves him to his sleep. He sits down in Kevin and Scotty’s bed. The bed is larger than his own and it takes some getting used to. But then he opens up his book, to read a few more pages before going to sleep.

The light hardly penetrates the room, but if you’d look hard enough, you’d see two men lying in bed. Kevin’s back is pressed up against Scotty’s chest. His fingers are entwined with Scotty’s fingers resting against his belly. Kevin makes a little noise and moves in Scotty’s arms.
Scotty sighs in his sleep, a smile forms around his mouth. He pushes himself subconsciously closer to Kevin. Neither man really wakes up. Both are happy that they finally found the peace they searched for and they are ready for yet another new daybreak to come.
THE END
And this is the end of the series, as far as I'm concerned. (I think. Unless I get an amazingly clever idea, but I doubt it.) I prefer to go back to writing K/S with an occasional other family-member dropping in, or an AU or a multi-chaptre story, but no 'season'. I have a lot of ideas and you haven't read the last K/S fanfiction from me yet. ;)

The bed isn’t that large, but it’s big enough for Seth and Kitty. And there’s even enough room for Evan and Grace. Neither Seth nor Kitty had felt the need to make too much fuss. They had put the kids in their bed between them and were asleep 5 seconds after their kids had fallen asleep. On the nightstand is Seth’s new book. It went on sale today.

By the time that Scotty’s head pops up from underneath the sheets again, Kevin is out of breath and sweat has formed on his chest. He smiles happily at Scotty and Scotty smiles seductively.
“My turn.” He warns Kevin and Kevin smiles as he rolls over to his belly.

“I told Kevin and Scotty… Or rather, Scotty had guessed.” Justin says. Tylers shrugs.
“It’s alright. I think I caught a stare or two from Sarah and Kitty as well, but they didn’t ask anything. I don’t believe we can keep it a secret for much longer anyway. I know you’re dying to tell the world.”
“For now, we’ll just keep quiet. The world can wait until we’re ready to tell them.” His hand rests on Tyler’s belly. It feels warm and heavy. Tyler closes her eyes and nestles closer to Justin and they both drink their apple-juice, happy with their little secret that is growing bigger in Tyler's belly.

Scotty moves against Kevin and he pulls Kevin closer.
“I can’t wait any longer.” He says and Kevin’s hum sounds satisfied. Scotty reaches out for the bag on the floor. When he turns back, he catches how Kevin licks his lips and he has to close his eyes for a few seconds.
“You’re so hot.” Scotty whispers.
“Time to cool me off.” Kevin invites and again he’s fascinated by how much passion Scotty can put in one glance.
“Come here.” Scotty moans and he pulls Kevin closer.

“I will destroy you, Kluv.” Chad repeats the sentence a few times using various degrees of menace.
“Stick to a more quiet version. If you get too shrill you lose credibility.” Jason advices.
“Is that so?” Chad asks.
“Yes. You’re Kluv’s arch-enemy. You want him dead, buried and destroyed, but you’re not some hysterical fool.”
“True.” Chad puts the script aside and he turns over to Jason. “And now, I want something completely different.”
“Such as?”
“A kiss from my husband.”
“You have no regrets that you stayed with me?” Jason suddenly asks.
“No. I love you. I was hurt and disappointed, but …. I can’t imagine my life without you.”
Jason places a kiss on Chad’s nose, knowing that this will most likely lead to more and he’s right. Chad takes Jason in his arms and gives him another kiss.
“Make love to me. I want you.” Jason begs and Chad pushes him down on the bed and takes control, as he always does.

Kevin moans. He’s almost unable to move. Scotty’s holds him so tightly.
“I can’t …” Scotty whispers in Kevin’s ear.
“Let go….” Kevin begs. “Just…” He lets out a cry when Scotty suddenly stiffens behind him and pushes him back down on the bed.
“You’re so hot… so sexy….” Scotty manages to say, heavily breathing right behind Kevin. Kevin grins. His own breathing is still uneven but he doesn’t care about that. The sheets that cover their bodies feels cool against is skin and he closes his eyes, while still in Scotty’s grip. He manages to roll over a bit and look at Scotty, with a satisfied smile on his face.

Jordan first checks on Elizabeth, now asleep in the room that used to be Mateo’s. Then he walks over to Daniel’s room, to find Daniel in a deep sleep as well. He checks on Olivia, who fell asleep reading her book. He turns off the light and puts the book on the nightstand.
And last, but not least, he checks on Billy, firmly asleep in the room formerly known as Elizabeth's room. He pulls the covers up around the little boy, but then leaves him to his sleep. He sits down in Kevin and Scotty’s bed. The bed is larger than his own and it takes some getting used to. But then he opens up his book, to read a few more pages before going to sleep.

The light hardly penetrates the room, but if you’d look hard enough, you’d see two men lying in bed. Kevin’s back is pressed up against Scotty’s chest. His fingers are entwined with Scotty’s fingers resting against his belly. Kevin makes a little noise and moves in Scotty’s arms.
Scotty sighs in his sleep, a smile forms around his mouth. He pushes himself subconsciously closer to Kevin. Neither man really wakes up. Both are happy that they finally found the peace they searched for and they are ready for yet another new daybreak to come.

And this is the end of the series, as far as I'm concerned. (I think. Unless I get an amazingly clever idea, but I doubt it.) I prefer to go back to writing K/S with an occasional other family-member dropping in, or an AU or a multi-chaptre story, but no 'season'. I have a lot of ideas and you haven't read the last K/S fanfiction from me yet. ;)
