The rings arrived on Wednesday. I wasn't able to take pictures until my power cord arrived from Kansas. I hope you will forgive the many pictures - I went a little crazy with the camera. So, without further ado, I give you pictures!
It's a 1.01 carat green sapphire set in 14k gold. The stone is beautiful - it catches the light and is so pretty.
At first I was worried that it was kind of wide for a ring, but it looks perfect on my hand.
The ring is what's called a reverse cradle - and that's my wedding band, slid between the rails. It's very thin - only 3mm.
Here's what it looks like from the side with the band. I just love the Celtic knotwork and triscala. ^.^
One last shot of the band from the bottom, wanted to try to get a detail shot.
There's the band by itself - as you can see, very delicate looking.
Here are our bands. His is yellow gold in the middle, with the rails being white gold. It's kind of hard to see in the picture. I love how the rings look together.
Right now I am wearing the outside cradle but not the inside band, as that's my actual wedding ring.
I wanted to write a short review about the company Justin decided to go with for these rings. The company,
deSignet International, custom made these rings based on Justin's specifications. We are thrilled with the results. The rings are a solid weight, very well crafted, and incredibly reasonably priced. Total for the rings and two day shipping was $1580. The staff was very personable and helpful. They answered the questions we had and made sure that we had a clear understanding of how the process worked, what with us purchasing this sight unseen. Initially, we were both slightly worried that it may not work as wanted (he did all the ordering since he wanted it to be a surprise), but the quality was wonderful and the service was great. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new piece of jewelry with some sort of Celtic knotwork or something not normally seen in stores. Thumbs up and gold stars and all that.
Anyways, that's pretty much it from me. Enjoy the pictures. I hope you all enjoy ogling the sparkly as much as I have.
