I'm actually having...friendly feelings towards Jack? This feels so real as far as college and the way people make do and work things out. Lovely slow burn and equally slow sharing of their histories between Sharon and Andrea.

This Jack feels like someone that Sharon could have had a bond with. And Sharon's self-knowledge is so deep it hurts. Lovely.

I'm glad you enjoyed Sharon's painfully deep self-knowledge and the slow process of her and Andrea getting to know one another.

I appreciate hearing your perspective on Jack and how Sharon's present-day affection for him might be conceivable based on this history and set of traits.

LJ ate my comment, noooo! I am really enjoying your writing style and the slow burn between Andrea and Sharon. It feels very natural and reciprocal as Andrea draws Sharon out and Sharon provides a sympathetic ear to Andrea. Also, I love the concept of Art Date, as well as Sharon's SCOTUS deflection! :)

This is the best! Young!Sharon and Young!Andrea are so adorable in their mutual nerdiness (I mean that in the best of ways. ♥ ♥ ♥). I love how their relationship is developing; they really are so perfect for each other.

Also, this Jack is kind and thoughtful (as much as he can be). I feel like he tries hard here and genuinely likes Sharon. They're not right for each other, but I want him to find happiness elsewhere, if that makes sense.

Anyway, I'm loving all the backstories.
