Best way to ignore an annoying house party ever!

So much sweetness here as they tumble into a romantic relationship. Jack's observations are particularly poignant, as is Sharon's gesture with the bicycles. I hate to think of the circumstances that might impede their idyll!

Hahaha! Yes! Best way ever. ;)

Glad you enjoyed the slow burn and the big tumble.

Oh no, let's not think of their future circumstances! Present moment only!

This is just incredibly rich and complex in the best way :-) It felt really right that their first encounter was a long night of hugging and snuggling, and the intimacy of a haircut...just so sweet and well-paced. And I'm loving the whole household, too--all the characters have such well-defined personalities. Jack is surprisingly likable here. The hints that there's pain both Sharon and Andrea need to overcome in order to be whole are just right, not overly foreboding or too effortless. Feels very real and like they're trying really hard to find their way to a full, adult relationship.

Oh, goodness! What a sweet and specific comment. I really appreciate the feedback.

I'm honored that you think it's rich and complex, but not overly complicated or tedious.

I like how you've articulated their attempts to develop themselves and thereby their relationship. I'm glad it feels real.

Thanks again for taking the time to read, especially when there is a lot of great fic out there to sink one's teeth into.

I'm just loving this!

I love the sweet, youthful, intensity of this relationship for them. They're both so mature and practical, but I love that they feel like 18-19 year olds experiencing their first loves. You've done such a wonderful job translating adult!Sharon and adult!Andrea into college students. Kudos for that. :D

Also, as FW said, you've made Jack likable here, and I reacted to his observation/behavior a lot like Sharon did: I was worried how he'd react to Sharon/Andrea, but he seems like a real pal.

Sinking into this fic is a wonderful treat each day. Thanks so much for writing this.

Thanks again for reading and commenting! This made my day when it came through. I was in the middle of work, so didn't respond, but just know that I really, really appreciated it. It elevated my mood and got me through the rest of the evening and night.

I'm glad you're enjoying it and I love your articulation of the practical and grounded, yet youthful and playful, duo. And I had to smile at the term "pal" for Jack. I think that sums up what we've seen of him in this story of late.

Thanks for the kudos. :)
