Let me introduce you to some of the people in my head.  Most if not all of the ones I intend to showcase here on LiveJournal are ones that have a) been around for a while and b) appeared in more than one incarnation, so to speak.  I'll discuss their initial inception and the various transformations they've gone through over the years.

Are you composing posts with the rich text editor? You need to be in the HTML editor for the cut tag to work. The rich text editor will treat it like text rather than recognizing it as a formatting command.

(And very interesting! I don't think I ever met Lady Pen. :) )

You're right, I was using the rich text editor. I'm (almost) completely inexperienced with HTML and therefore didn't try to use it. Is there a way to insert a cut tag with the rich text editor? Alternatively, what do I need to know to use HTML?

Click the 'edit' button on your post, and when the rich text editor comes up, there should be a bunch of formatting buttons up at the top. The one for cut tags has three horizontal lines and a squiggle. (If you hover the mouse over the icons, you'll get a little pop-up that tells you what each one does.) Highlight the text you want to cut, click the cut button, and that should do it.

I don't have quite the stable of characters that you seem to have, but I do like to move characters across genres and games.

Lorius, for example, whom you have seen as an NPC in Strange Bedfellows is also an NPC in a different game--Exalted. There, he is a sorcerer of a Dragon Blooded House in Lookshy. His personality though, is intact...
