*waves hi* Sorry about not getting back to everyone sooner, but trying to type lying flat with my netbook on my chest is actually pretty difficult. And I don't actually remember my password /o\ so I can't actually update DW/LJ on my phone.
So I spent the entirety of Friday on a hospital bed in line. Due to a miscommunication between the hospital and the clinic, I got checked in at 9am and finally went into surgery at 3pm and finally got home at 7pm. *wipes brow*
But everyone was nice and did their best to be calming and I am now the proud owner of a huge, healing gash on my crotch/hip, yay!
I spent Saturday catching up on sleep, basically, because waking up for the hour trip into town and then being too nervous to really relax and sleep all day took it out of me. Plus, I'd been nervous, oh, basically the entire week beforehand.
(I was so tired that I fell asleep when I got the calming med before the anesthesia. Oops.)
I had been in so much pain that basically the huge cut doesn't hurt. Like it twinges a little? but yeah, I am feeling good. So good that I've been getting stuff done in the mornings before my body realizes I've been sick for so long and gets wibbly.
I am trying to take care of myself tho, so I didn't do anything yesterday and today looks like the same deal.
Sunday, mom and FJ's mom came over to watch the game and *that* tired me out, and Monday I actually went out and ran errands before I ended up carefully propped up in bed and zoned out.
I did fill the rx for the Vicodin, but that stuff gives me a headache close to a migraine, so I switched to extra strength Tylenol.
Okay, I was wrong, I did make a good decision, even if it costs me the house. Immediately after the surgery, my temperature came down and my fever went away. It took a couple of days, but the sinus stuff is on the wane too and I didn't wake up tense today despite accidentally sleeping on the couch. I still can't sit up properly, so I eat slouched back, but that'll be over as soon as this heals.
It's amazing. I just wish it hadn't come at such a price tag.
[edit] Also, thank you everyone for all of your well-wishes and sympathies. Because the clinic and the hospital were having problems communicating, I think it might actually end up cheaper? Not sure. Here's hoping? In any case, paying in cash will knock 50% off, so it might actually end up affordable, who knows.
