This was a scene I was trying out when I was trying to nail down Rebecca and Riley's backstory. And Riley's story with his ex. I went through many many drafts, and as it stands, I still don't think I know as much as I'd like to about these two. Suffice it to say, this version of their history didn't make the final cut. We didn't get a ton of detail about the breakup but I did like what you settled on in the story, with her walking away.

I liked this excerpt though...kind of gave us a little glimpse of the history and dare I say tension between Riley and Rebecca.

And YES, Andy did need someone to just 'be' with. Where she could let go of all the crap and just relax, play basketball, not think about what was missing.
