My coworker gave me a whole bag of little fresh plums from her tree.
Now I am immersed in dreams of plum pudding and cobbler and my grammi's apple-plum butter. But alas, Mother Hubbard's cupboards are lacking so I'll console myself with fresh plummy numminess :D

Ohhh, yum! Ya know, apple plum butter is easy if you have a crock pot. Just put the fruit in, on a low temp with a bit of water, some cinnamon and nutmeg and let it simmer!

Never tried it with plums but works great with apples!
